That is the second year that they have mentioned the very expensive (to me) computer system.

There are, say, 5000 tolls payers ?

How much can a new laptop and a copy of Microsoft Access or Excel cost ?

Access would handle 5000ย  records with ease, and would provide instant reports on specific parameters or a combination of parameters the latter comprising, on equal to, greater than, less than, in a matter of seconds, all menu driven. Together with sort facilities and mail sorts. Why over egg the pudding.

Make it complicated, and it will cost you a huge amount of money in training cost and maintenance.

Yes, my comment was tongue in cheek but build a system in line with requirements - it should not cost ยฃm's

How in the saint of woodies name does one vaccinate a woody?

Take it by rail.....

ย

The Great Western Railway and probably the others, had carriage sheds to fumigate the Carriages...

An entire carriage would be rolled in, all doors and windows open. They shut the door of the building. and let loose something that would be an illegal chemical today.. .. With horse hair seating and all natural cloths / wood etc.. you needed to fumigate the carriages to stop them being eaten by insects..

Don't know if there are any such buildings still in use...
