These are not just mince pies, these are not even M and S mince pies but Sainsburys posh ones, I shall enjoy one with a cupper later this afternoon.

I will make a dozen or two and some lemon curd tarts and a cake for Boxing Day, maybe a Guinness cake with white poring sauce. If you want a less bitter cake use Mackeson instead of Guinness.

so far I have not had any mince pies, I dont particularly like them, but will have one on Christmas day if my mum makes any as the pastry is always good on her pies

Well I won’t be buying these again. The filling is quite chunky and hard.
