Hi,

if you want to book a Brooms boat please be aware that Hoseasons are 'unable' to remove our boats from their website and have decided that the best way to help us is to show them as 'unavailable' which is  Ironic as they didn't really fill the unbooked weeks  this may be down to the perpetual IT  problems which plague them but their affiliates are also playing to  their tune. 

very sad state of affairs but encouraging that most of the cancelled bookings have called and booked direct.

Good old Hoseasons, their incompetence tends to shine through. Clive, I hope you don't lose bookings through people seeing the "not available" label and thinking if they go direct they'll get the same answer.

Hi Clive,

I was looking at the Brooms Guide to first time boaters web page and there's a link to the Hoseason's site from that web page.

Thought you'd want to know. The Brooms webpages are impressive, so I'm sure they'll take a fair amount of time to review.

The headline says "Horning Pleasurecraft increases bookings after Broom Boats takeover"

Does that mean "After the HPC takeover of Broom Boats" or "After the Broom Boats takeover of HPC"

Sloppy ambiguous headline writing by the journalist, IMHO

Perhaps intentional to get people to want to read more, which of course means paying.

It doesn't really matter which way around you read or interpret the headline it is wrong! In the UK a takeover usually refers to the acquisition of one public company by another public company.

In this case HPC a private limited company has purchased Broom Boats another private limited company.

Acquisition or purchase are the correct terms the EDP should be using.

Horning Pleasurecraft increases bookings after the purchase of Broom Boats would be correct.

Actually says booking capacity, not bookings.

You should have purchased Hoseasons other booking agents exist. As a way forward would help their progress.

Good to know Clive, there are so many websites that purport to represent boat hire companies, not just on the Broads but the canals as well that its great to hear of a company that is trusted by a leader in the hire industry,
