My cousin decided to leave school early and take a full time position at the shoe shop where he had a Saturday job. I can remember the shouts and screams as his parents 'discussed' the situation with him. But undeterred my cousin stuck with his plan. At 18 he was six feet tall, athletic, blonde haired, blue eyed, well spoken...his sales patter of "You look exquisite in those shoes!" produced such a large quantity of sales amongst ladies of a certain age that he's now a director of the shoe company.
