  1. Alan I would also like to offer our heartfelt condolences at this very sad time Stay strong David & Family
  2. Here’s a link to the forum Handy Information section with loads of Attractions listed https://forum.norfolkbroadsnetwork.com/handy-information/attractions-places-to-visit/ Have a great holiday and as others have said don’t try to fit everything in
  3. Well Vaughan your prayers have been answered but a little misplaced. it’s just started lashing down up here in the North East (Geordieland)
  4. And a third from me. Brilliant yard. we had Fourth Bridge 2 in 2014 & loved it. The engine is indeed inside below the upper helm and was well soundproofed, I don’t recall it being excessively noisy. The only slight downside for us was the access for mum (now 87) was a bit tricky with the back being very high and having to get along the decks to the upper helm and down the steps to get in. But other than that we loved the boat. we were last with Bridgecraft for a week in April on Westminster Bridge and have it booked again for 2 weeks in September (can’t wait) and the same for April & September next year
  5. I was 16 & remember being burnt to a crisp after falling asleep on Whitley Bay beach after consuming a number of tinnies. Later in the year when the summer finally broke we were in a rowing boat in the middle of Coniston Water in the Lake District. The lightening storm was amazing to watch but a bit frightening being in such a small boat surrounded by all that water as the wind got up & the heavens opened and lightning going round the lake touching the mountain tops. Rowing back was interesting, we had to pull in & let my mate off with his young sister so they could walk back to the camp site. she was terrified and screaming her head off. Ahh Happy days

  12. We had Fourth Bridge 1 back in 2014 I think it was & it was a great boat. Only slight problem for us was for mum ( who’s now 87) found it a bit difficult getting on & off with the door being through the upper helm and having to walk along the deck but once on she was fine. I’m sure you’ll love it. The layout is great for anyone with a dog Bridgecraft are a great yard & we always feel like our custom is valued. We have just had Westminster Bridge in April for a week & have it again for two weeks in September and another week next April.
  13. I use one of these Garmin GPS Map64s https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_4_6?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=gpsmap64s&sprefix=Gpsmap%2Caps%2C150&crid=C273S7G7DVR0 not cheap but display is configurable to your requirements & highly accurate
  14. Looks like the C69 programmer without the casing from the other devices page on the site http://pulsynetic.eu/other-devices/programmers-reflex/

  19. My mum’s exactly the same Neil almost 87, loves the Broads, enjoys 2 holidays afloat each year. could be a nice little business here. Sorry to make light of this, It’s such a shame for Simon and anyone else who’s had their holiday plans spoiled by this change.
  20. Same thing happened to me Geoff. Camping in Scarborough in my younger days with mates we went out on one of the fishing boats from the harbour and came back with bags full of mackerel and distributed them around the site but like you had to clean them first. I was sick of the sight of mackerel after that.
  21. I second what Howard says about Bridgecraft, I’ve never known them take bookings direct and only booked through hoseasons. (Roll on April) but that policy could have changed
  22. The Bear & Bells definately is dog friendly, and a great pub to boot
