  2. One of my lads at work Paul has been though a similar experience as yours he feels ok but keeps testing positive it's a strange one for sure .interestingly my family was all rought leading up to Christmas all with the said symptoms I myself was flattered for nine days after the new year so as a group we have started the anti body testing half of them have had the test and every test so far has come positive interms of covid anti body's so this has been around longer then currently being suggested Finny

    My Day

My day has not been so good so far . Over the last few weeks I have missed a good curry so I had a go with all the authentic ingredients which I dont mind adding was a 8 out 10 on my curry scale ............but thank goodness toilet rolls ain't an issue anymore Finny
  4. I recon recent events will have opened many eyes and attitudes towards the future and for myself Ian I would be seeing the whole situation as an opportunity for a better future ........better to cook just 3 meals a day rather than 2000 Finny
  5. Made me chuckle seeing all that .I was having a clear up and found some DVDs that I had not watched and then realized that I need a machine also to put them in Finny
  6. If I was to be hiring this year good customer treatment would play a vital part . I would also be looking for a massive improvement in hygiene standards under the current situation. We all know handover is a tight area anyway but I will not hire unless the boat is sterile and a great way to boost customer confidence would be to disinfectant fog the whole boat I have just purchased a couple of small mobile machines for the waggon cabs relatively cheaply - its quick easy and very efficient and effective it also restores confidence interms of getting a bums on seats . Confidence is at a all time low my feeling is that the yard that does the most will gain the most Finny
  7. Every council will be operating within there own capability .we are back up to full strength giving a full service we have brought in 4 contracted extra trucks and staffed them but because everyone is a at home producing waste we are having problems completing the rounds on the day .the recycling centres are in talks about opening very soon but there are massive concerns over safety so I suspect it will be a one in and a one out situation .another massive concern is bottle necking the tips to the point that they can not function folk with time on there hands having a clear out is one thing but the logistics in clearing the tips is another Finny
  8. It is Ray the lads have been fantastic,on the other side my brother is with the Ambulance service and two nieces front line nurses my daughter is a environmental health officer and they are all out there - I find it hard to sleep at night and would be very greatfull if we all come out ok on the other side please keep my family safe - stay home thank you Finny
  9. I normally coordinate a fleet of local authority bin trucks like most other services manning has been a massive logistical problem so under the circumstances ditching the shirt and tie for workwear was a no brainier as HGV drivers are like hens teeth at the moment. anyway good Friday I was reversing up to what we call a collection point the lads was up there sorting the bins ready for the truck - so I stop and jump out to give the lads a hand and we start firing the bins away when was was approached by a lady with two very small children and grabbed our attention ,the children had made goodie bags not only had they personally decorated but placed a bottle of water a packet of crisps and a couple of Easter eggs . So from a distance we thanked them very much and whilst walking away the little girl turned and said " we put some rubber gloves in the bag so you can go home safe to your family " iam a manc born and bred and will stand my ground with anybody but nothing prepared me for that or the lads I was working with Stay at home finny

  15. perhaps its just me but after spending quite a few quid on a new turbo i would want to be giving it a good start to its life via an clean new low ash oil change - may even be tempted to do an engine flush before hand just my thoughts finny
  16. And dont forget a oil change - Volvo dont make oil it comes out of the ground even though they will recommend their own oil . i personally use a low Ash oil and it would be Comma oil finny
  17. The hampton in question has been around for years i remember i even thought about refitting my Hampton to a similar but putting the engine behind the forward bulkhead - got that idea from the many broads dayboats ......well that was until i did a fag packet cost list and it didnt happen my advice for what its worth is try it and if you feel its struggling against a stiff tide maybe look at changing the prop it doesnt take much to push a hampton with a 2ft 6 draft ,i was not happy with my hampton after seeking advice i slightly over propped it and gave the performance i was looking for .the potter bridge pilot once told me going through the bridge it was one of the most responsive hamptons he had ever helmed finny
