  1. But she can't even find a way to do that, Iain. Is she missing something simple? I mean without typing in each address singly?
  2. Hi, all, My cousin is secretary of a group, and as such needs to send e-mails to about 120 members at once. She's using Windows 8, and can't find a way of organising these email addresses into a group, such that selecting the group will add all those addresses into her email address box when creating mail. It must be possible but not having Windows 8 in front of me I can't advise her. Anyone help, please?
  3. I'm sticking with Vista Home Basic, does what I want, when I want it, how I want it.
  4. Southgates is probably the one you're thinking of. They had two - Southgates Lower Street, and Southgates Main (which is now South Quays Marina). Southgates Main was indeed just out of the picture top left.
  5. Perhaps it's for the best to retire her now, after all? Much as we've been privileged and thrilled for so many years, the time has come to call it a day. There are of course much older aircraft flying, but the complexities of the Vulcan far surpass any of them.
  6. Like I said elsewhere: I once spent 2 hours in conversation with Norman at the Stokesby Ferry . . . and never understood a word of it!!!!
  7. Yes, MM, I'm always getting called a swanker. Well, I think that's what they're saying.
  8. Being upmarket, I send mine to the dry cleaners.
  9. Bill, I signed up for the course, but couldn't find the lecture room. I don't bother with contracts, just use a 321 SIM from Three. It suits me, I don't stream hours of video, just general internet surfing and e-mails, odd text and phone, and £20 lasts me all season! Anyway, why should the provider worry about tethering? Surely it's you who's paying to have it delivered to your phone, what's it got to do with them what you do with it? Mostly, yes. The usual blackspot of Horning was a no-no, but elsewhere seemed OK. The South side of the Neatishead arm of Barton was dead, but move 100 yards to the North side - full signal! That's how hit and miss it can be.
  10. 'Cos I've gorn upmarkit, an' got wun ov them smartypants phones, wot connect up to the interwebby on their own! Then they send the interwebby to yer lappy, if that's wot u want.
  11. Thanks all. This has now been taken. Thanks for looking.
  12. Got a Huawei 5220 3G Mifi to sell. It's locked to Three, so you'll need a Three data SIM, or get it unlocked somehow (It's beyond me!). Asking £10, if anyone's interested. Plus postage, unless we can meet up at some stage.
  13. That's going to chew up your bandwidth!

All sorted, apparently. No damage reported.

It has been reported that the owner was informed this afternoon and was on his way to sort it. Hope it ends well.

As pointed out elsewhere, Broads Control will have contact details. Or maybe whoever runs those moorings?
  17. I've got "The Exhibitionist's Ecstasy". (Here we go, carry on).

Don't think so, Strow. I've just had Sunbird out there, and they hire a crane as and when. Unless they've bought one in the past week!
  19. I've used the boat in the winter for as long as I've owned it (15 years). I love being out on the river in winter, peaceful, and no mooring problems! My winterisation procedure is to drain the fresh water and calorifier, relying on Strow's jerrycan for water, err, and that's about it. Tube heaters and dehumidifier installed, and run the exhaust dry on each return, then close the seacock. Remembering to open it before starting up next time. I do try to keep the diesel tank topped up, but don't unduly worry about it.
  20. Let me unblock you, old chum: TRANSESTERIFICATION!!!!! There, that should have done it.
  21. Snob! I've drunk in bars that resemble the underground gents at East Ham. Before they were refurbished.
  22. At 5:20 there's a snippet of a Hampton, "Miss Memory" reg Y29, which was (much) later owned by my uncle, and after he sold her was re-fitted to become one of the very best Hamptons (IMO), "Sunchaser". What a coincidence.
  23. Well, there's always duck-billed pliers, or if necessary use a mole wrench.
  24. If you have trouble I'll lend you my snipe nosed pliers. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to catch those birds.
