But without those I knew anyway he was at Dunkirk coming off the beaches on the 29th May 1940. also he was in the Siege of Tobruk as RSM of the 7th Royal Tank Regiment. I've come across several people who share my interests online, one that stands out is a guy who is a sailmaker and posts on some boat forums, I was most surprised to find him and his wife on the kilt forum. and after other discussions I discovered he has a model railway and interested in Landrovers only the internet could bring us together in our interests because he lives in America!

As at 12.:45 04/11/15 I observed it was working @ Horning when the fisherman in the picture finally moved. One problem in the winter is that the Horning has finished sailing from the end of October, so he who knows how it works possibly would only come down for the social functions or committee meetings or working parties ( or any combination of them). He also has a full time job and as we are a self help club all tasks are done by volunteers when and if they can. The only paid staff is a cleaner once or twice a week.

You are making huge assumptions about the price BA pay and what Landowners ask, I have a feeling the close down of the board walk has more to do with cutting costs at The BA than increased demands for Money from private owners.

May I point out that The melody started leaving music in the 60s and those responsible are now OAPs, The teachers who were in charge of education in the 70s are for the most part now OAPS, and most of the things listed were done my those who are now OAPS

What one forgets is that the maintenance of the board walk track and paths would fall on the land owner, for no benefit to him / herself. They also become liable if someone sues should someone trip or fall while one their land who would pay for all the insurance to cover For this? A friend had his taken and he saw the man take it from the carousel, he tried to stop him by shouting (he was a distance away)but the local Saudi police promptly stopped my friend for making a disturbance!! I used Hard case suitcases, with my initials in 18inch high letters painted on both sides. it certainly stops casual thieves who would look a bit odd walking down the road with that, in places like Saudi. It also stops someone taking the bag, for it being the same type as their own.

Yes the winters arrived, we launched the Yeoman last week for the winter sailing season, we've aleady won one trophy and come second in another. I've just had the engineering section annual curry night, Horning SC end of season prize giving and dinner, Next week is Snowflake SC Halloween, party and dinner. Then two weeks later I'll go up to Spalding for the Big model railway show there. The in late November through December, there are two company Christmas dinners, The Broadland Model railway Club Christmas dinner, one or two of the Wife's Art group dinners And the sailing club Christmas doo. Finally We've got the Gorleston Model railway show early January. Nothing to look forward to at all... Only problem is we've got scaffolding round the chimney as of yesterday as the chimney cracked, and then the boiler sprang a leak yesterday as well, it looks like a cold few days....and a high electric bill for heating
