  1. The food police will get you lot. paul
  2. So, basically a 'picnic' problem. Fridge wise, I was going to fit an audible alarm to sound when the power to the domestic batteries was switched of, because I wired it direct to those batteries, it had a switch between direct supply and fridge. Then we sold the boat, still have the alarm somewhere. paul
  3. JA, you cannot just leave it as 'Mystery Solved' I am going mad wondering what it was! paul
  4. But Ian you always give it a nod when you pass it. paul
  5. Hire a cottage next to river then you can explore Norfolk and hire a day boat if you want some time on the river. We used to do that when we had work to do while it was out over winter. There is always work needed if you own! We never had the time for a day boat. paul
  6. Not fair. Where is the rest of the tale? pail
  7. Sorry for the reply! Hirers expect to use the facilities ( see I can be polite) as they would at home, so lots of water pumped in, lots and lots of water for the flush. I once tried to explain to a family why they had to fill up with water, they could not understand if they were floating on it why they needed more??? Another reason it helps out all the yards with income. Small tanks are also cheaper. We could use Zimbi's waste tank for 3 weeks between pump outs. Just got a bit lower in the water towards the end. paul
  8. The fan that blows the hot air around. paul
  9. It maybe a small craft but the premium will not be! paul
  10. If you did this it would mean all the sills were on the outside and a good shoulder charge would open the doors. Security wise I would STRONGLY advise against this idea. paul
  11. Thanks for the link, it works well I applied on Sunday arrived today. I couldn't remember my NHS number but still worked ok. paul
  12. Well done, Sorry to critise but you need to iron them to correct the nap variations. paul Ps. at last I can pick up on a very minor error.
  13. Just looked. Smarty £10 for 30gig a month, cancel anytime, get one for your holiday cancel when you come back. We are both on Smarty, Jill got coverage most places on the broads I was on a different provider at the time. My mifi sim runs out soon guess what I am going to do for October. Smarty also do unlimited internet for £20 if we didn't need a land line this would be my broadband choice. paul
  14. I usually get a 3 sim card from 'my memory'. 12 gig lasts for 1 year can be used in a mifi unit. The only place it was not reliable was in our home marina! I had to hang it from the canopy support. paul
  15. Still wearing a mask. Not so much for covid reasons but all those other nasty bugs that have not had a fair chance to infect, while we were masked and distanced. paul
  16. All the other drivers except red bull affiliated thought it a simple racing incident. Max was simply just squeezing Lewis into an off. It went wrong, big time. Next race could be interesting, the word revenge comes to mind. paul
  17. A lot of the smaller yards seemed to disappear after the foot and mouth out break, when noone was allowed to roam freely. paul
  18. Oldnew, try hiring a day boat first to see how it fits. If you are only looking to use it once a month it will be cheaper to let someone else pay for mooring/running costs. paul
  19. When we sold Zimbi we said that's it no more boating. SO we are on Clive's Tideway on the 1st Oct! Never hired from Horning but with a 4pm take over I guess it will probably staying overnight in the marina then an early start on Saturday. I would expect all the nearby moorings will be taken by the Saturday rush back to base. paul
  20. Hi, unless you just want to go fishing I don't get 'dayboat'. All you can do is go 4 hours then come home thats in mid-summer. An over night boat makes more sense. Be aware with time and usage boats shrink! A small Shetland/Viking gives you a couple of nights away for a very similar price. paul
  21. Sorry for that then, but even posting about tying to a safety ladder would give some the wrong idea. I must admit when I saw it was you I was surprised. But you do state a mooring rope through the steps. So a better explanation from you may clarify what you mean. I have seen someone trying to get out at Loddon with a boat tied to the ladder, it took 3 of use to help. paul
  22. No you are not supposed to cover a safety ladder!!! I hope you don't fall in and have climb out between a heavy moving boat and a fixed bank then scramble over a mooring rope to get to safety. I would make that mooring illegal. paul
  23. Well I give the update a Big thumbs down. I maybe getting into my dotage but I am not regressing into school boy mode quite yet. When I went to (approved) school it was the order of green star then red then silver and if you were very good you got a gold star. BLACK STAR for the software suppliers. Childish and infantile springs to mind. This maybe my last post because it is annoying me and I do not want to progress up the ladder of merit decreed by idiots. paul
  24. I prefer the old system. I demand a back update. paul
  25. Why is it an Update to a system fills everyone with dread? Do you not realise there are thousands of people employed to fix things that are not broken! Feedback Feedback. Everyone has to leave feedback. well I don't. paul
