  1. It sounds like a lovely idea to me as well, sure you'll enjoy it πŸ‘ πŸŽ…
  2. Sorry to hear this and can really sympathise, elderly relatives raise our stress levels so high at times. Have a great visit with your son to balance things out πŸ™‚
  3. Side effects are interesting, it seems different folks react differently to each vaccine. I had Pfizer/BioNTech for all 3 and after each one I felt like I had flu for a week! Pretty unpleasant but much better than the alternative.
  4. Knowledge is power - keep giving us all the information available please. Also, air borne droplets are not just spread through coughs and sneezes, plus you can have no symptoms and still spread it to someone who may die. Wear masks, follow the rules or risk literally killing someone.. really!
  5. Sorry, I got carried away and didn't answer properly. I hope this helps - "15 amps, 30 amps, 70 amps, 100 amps? What does it mean? A question we are asked all the time. Basically the amperage rating of the isolator is the amount of current the isolator can handle under severe fault conditions. The isolator must be able to handle more than the available current supplied to the boat. Usually UK marina supplies are either 16 or 32 amps so the isolator must be able safely handle at least 20% more than the maximum current available to comply with legislation. Realistically the higher the rating the more reliable the isolator."
  6. As above my boat came with one bolted to the outside of the transom! Preferring to maintain my air of mystery until at least the second date I moved it inboard in case anyone "came back for coffee" 😁 I've had no complaints about size!
  7. I was thinking something similar, the screenshot is exactly as the page appears on my phone so perhaps you're loading the "mobile" page rather than the full page. Typing the whole address into the address bar should load the full page whether or not the mobile page is cached.
  8. If you're away from your boat any length of time it's best not to close the vents, ventilation is the best dehumidifier. I leave our dehumidifier on 24/7 but at a low level/tolerance (I don't know the correct terms lol) The outlet tube goes into the galley sink and all is well
  9. Same as a domestic kitchen I'd say Andrew. Mouldy posted just the other day about doing exactly that πŸ‘
  10. New beginnings, old friends! πŸ‘
  11. Wouldn't it be great if there was some "treatment" that rendered contents of the pan safe both bacterially and ecologically? No holding tank or pump outs required and no harm done... where is science when you need it?
  12. Only visited once just a couple of months ago. Our experience was a friendly welcome, nice food, staff being helpful and making a fuss of the dog. Plenty of diners and a nice atmosphere, was looking forward to going back πŸ™ It's funny isn't it how much perceptions can vary?
  13. He's made a lovely job of that, he is certainly highly recommended as I've found out myself this year πŸ‘
  14. I shall enjoy reading your build blog... possibly more than you will enjoy the build πŸ™‚ Good luck πŸ‘πŸΊ
  15. Hope it's 2nd time lucky for you 🀞

    River Booms.

I think, and I'm no expert, that as the salt water incursion works it's way upstream so do the fish and the basin which seems like a haven becomes a trap as the salt water means they can't get out to keep moving upstream. No idea how effective it is but presumably it helps. The EA operate it I think.
  17. Winterton Ian, just down the road from you πŸ™‚ We moved here 4 years ago and at that time the Hemsby practice took us on as NHS patients. Covid, of course, meant big problems for dentists and twice my checkups were cancelled but they seem to be back on track now. Certainly worth an enquiry if you haven't tried them yet.
  18. Well we share a medical centre thenπŸ‘ Have always found them very helpful. The dentist on the 1st floor are pretty good too if you are looking for one.
  19. Just heard from MS that they are replacing the pc under warranty, happy with that πŸ‘
  20. What we get used to is a big factor in buying and upgrading our devices. In all honesty Apple, Microsoft and Chrome/Android are perfectly good systems. I happily find my way around anything from Microsoft and Android so stick with them but I'm sure I'd be happy with Apple products too if I could be bothered to get used to something I'm not familiar with.
  21. My Surface Pro is less than a year old, did the upgrade last week... Camera stopped working! There is no real reason for this, just coincidence apparently! Support were helpful but failed to fix it. Now they have gone very quiet. Personnally, like you, I usually wait a while and wish I had. For what it's worth I couldn't see much difference in Win11 from the brief look I've had other than the Start button and menu.
