  1. Personally I would not want to be sitting in that hot tub , it is a bit public. Yes they have put a fence around but am I wrong in thinking that there is an apartment upstairs and down or is it all 'yours' so to speak.
  2. Do you think these people who take over our favourite spots read a book named ' How to Kill off a Business in 100 days'.
  3. Be like everyone else - blame it on the government.
  4. Recently we stayed at Tealby in Horning (end of June) and used the wifi provided there and had no problem with wifi whatsoever. The TV was a smart TV and I watched Netflix You Tube etc all have to have wifi. So pleased it did work and sorry to hear that others have not been able to use the wifi. What a carry on.

  6. Thinking about the BBQs, were they those portable ones, I thought they were not sold anymore.
  7. Shame there isnt a little face showing anger because that is what I would have clicked. Salhouse is one of our most favourite places of sanctuary in that part of the Broads. Wroxham is always manic but generally speaking Salhouse is always good. Even having the trip boats passing with their blaring music at least you know once they are gone they are gone.
  8. When I worked at the solicitors and at that time did Criminal Law , I used to love going to Court. At times it was quite amusing. The accused in the dock, pleading that he was innocent and was so lovely you would have thought he was the local vicar, until the Judge sent him down (and they do go down the stairs to the cells) for 2 years and well to say the air was blue was no exaggeration. The Judge's parentage was in question several times along with many other compliments that this guy could muster. His charm offensive didn't work and I do believe the sentence was increased. So it can be enlightening at times.
  9. Dont worry contact the person who wrote to your Dad and they will just take him off the list and will tell him he does not have to attend.
  10. They are a couple of characters , are'nt they.

    Water

When we lived in Bahrain it hardly ever rained but there was always water in the taps, granted you could not drink it but we went to a depot to collect the drinking water in a huge tank. Well it seemed huge to me, I was only 10. I do believe the drinking water was desalinated.

    Water

I see lots of problems with Anglian Water today especially in Horning. Hope they get put back on soon. I gather it has affected Neatishead and surrounding area.
  13. Am thinking of you, bless you, keep your chin up.
  14. From what I have read this is a vulnerable person they are looking for. I feel for the family in these circumstances.
  15. I got mine from laying on those stupid sunbeds as you did in the 70s. I only used the sun bed 3 times. My friend who lived on them unfortunately died of bone cancer in her late 50s. Why oh why did we do it, you wonder.
  16. Efudix cream treatment is what I am on at the moment. Apparently costs a bomb for a tube of it. Dont throw it away if you get prescribed a tube , it seems it lasts for about 20 years.
  17. I like the No Mooring sign.
  18. Sorry to hear that Chris B, I too but more centre forehead have been having treatment just lately but that was from something I had over 40 years ago which came back. Please everyone be so careful out there. Our Tilleys many years ago cost around £50 but honestly they never wear out, wash and come up like new and if they go in the river, the float.
  19. Have a lovely time, but please remember to cover up.
  20. Not as good but not far off being perfect for a safe mooring. Would think it floods in the winter but where does it not flood down South in the winter occasionally.
  21. I agree totally. Surely the door should never be shut completely on this, there is room for compromise as you say. The Land owner sounds a very nice person. It isnt the BA who will be losing out with the loss of this mooring it is the Toll Payers and the holidaymakers. As I keep banging on - we are also losing a rubbish facility as well and there are blooming few of these on the South rivers. Come on Broads Authority get your finger out and save this lovely mooring.
  22. I still think Langley if everyone got around the table could be a good mooring again, especially after reading what the landowner had to say.
  23. Such a pity about Langley Dyke - a real gem to let go.
  24. A mooring at the river end would be a darn long walk to the bins.
