  1. Listening to Radio Norfolk yesterday, the owners of the Reedham Ferry were saying they require more staff.
  2. Stupid spell check, actually there again it probably described them exactly, especially the thick part.
  3. I just looked at flightradar24 - I am gobsmacked. absolutely gobsmacked. No wonder we cannot contain this virus. https://www.flightradar24.com/51.52,-0.09/6
  4. https://youtu.be/_FwdxDgXPIA Where do these animals come from and what are they doing flying anywhere?
  5. I saw this on Microsoft news. Am I missing something. Who are these people in the airport. I dont know where else to ask this question. https://news.sky.com/story/three-in-hospital-and-17-arrested-after-dramatic-footage-captures-brawl-at-london-luton-airport-12307289
  6. The trouble with people these days (not just the BA} is that they do not read the contents of emails. It very much applies to GPs. They have it their brain what course of action they are on and the left hand side of the brain has not kicked in.
  7. There is a Carpet place in Lowestoft and they sell off cuts of Flotex. We did our boat out for half the price. http://www.karpetkingdom.co.uk/carpets-and-flooring/vinyl/flotex-flocked-flooring/
  8. These are oven chips and so convenient, that was my thought as the person who although on holiday is full time cook and bottle washer. I do take sweet potatoes and baking potatoes as well as Maris Piper. However, I will not fry anything and my attempts at making oven chips are just not worth speaking about - hence the idea that these would suffice.
  9. Saw these and thought what a good idea. Knowing how restricted you are trying to freeze or keep frozen the likes of chips on a boat, you can now get these and they are chilled. You could decant them into your own air tight bag so not taking up more room than necessary, keep the instructions and wollah !! you have chips during the week. https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/Product/albert-bartlett-rooster-fries-300g
  10. Looking at the boat I would assume that storage is limited. We always bring the kitchen sink and so like yourself storage is a must. I expect there will be nooks and crannies that you can pop items in, ie , under the bed , seats etc. Also to note, when we went on their Captain boats, the old fashioned cigar type plug is was not available it was all USBs. Best to check with the boat yard.
  11. Don't hold your breath. We have been fooled before by ' there is going to be heatwave'. Always is an overcoat colder up here.
  12. Generally if you are prepared, thankfully it never happens. When we had our own boat we were with Boulters, I think that was the only breakdown cover on offer at the time, in our 10 years thankfully we never had to call them out but it is peace of mind. Edited to say that it matters not whether you are North or South Broads based. We were at St Olaves.

Yes 4 little bundles of fluff. Goodness only knows where Mother is?
  15. Can I just add, ease of mooring, not too much of a height when getting on and off, some of us are not quite as nimble as we used to be. Seconded for the fridge, got to have a bit more of a freezer space than a small box that would only take a packet of peas. I agree with the island bed too. Ok when you are in your 30s 40s and 50s but when your 60s and 70s and 80s are knocking on your door , the need for the loo in the night is more urgent. A good heating system is a necessary thing to in the early and later months.
  16. If you view the videos on you tube of New Name Same Me. A lovely lady and she said that yesterday all of the bigger boats were getting through with ease. Hope that eases your mind. https://youtu.be/P7lnve0PXQM

I cannot find the new post regarding the Falcons. in front of the bird sitting is a fluffy thing. Is that a baby bird or something else. https://hawkandowltrust.org/web-cam-live/norwich-cathedral-side
  18. I am not surprised that it was knocked down. It was very much a hospital on the old scale. I am speaking of a long time ago, Mum died at 96 and that was in 2012. I can recall being a youngster when she was training and she used to practice her bandaging skills on me. I used to be bound up in all directions.
  19. I have just received this link from Emma at Glavenvalley who run the web cam. The BBC web cam does not work but this one does and it is a lot better. https://www.glavenvalley.co.uk/blakeney-webcam
  20. Does anyone remember The Miller Hospital in Greenwich. Mum was a nurse there in the 50s.
  21. We too have been Pfizered and had to travel miles for it. Some of our immediate neighbours could walk to have their jabs. Saying that personally I would have travelled anywhere and was so grateful and pleased to have received what I consider to be 'our life' back.
  22. What a smart looking boat, bet you are very proud of her.
