  6. Dear all, Starting on 4 January there will be works taking place on our How Hill 24-hour moorings to replace the middle 100 metres of quay heading timber. We are aiming for there to be little effect on users of the site. The remaining 200 metres of the mooring will remain accessible and the public footpath will be open throughout the works. There will be a portaloo and small compound on the staithe area but this should not impede access for pedestrians. Clear signage and barriers will be in place on site to advise visitors. Also commencing on 4 January are works at our Haddiscoe East layby mooring to replace failing timbers along the length of the mooring. The site will have to be closed for a period of approximately two weeks during the works, which are essential to keep it serviceable. Clear signage and barriers will again be in place to advise visitors. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these works. 13. Hello Helen, Another tip is to move your bow ropes to the centre cleats before you moor and ideally drop the mud weigh whist coming into the mooring. It can be windy at Surlingham and you may need the midpoint ropes to stop you being at an angle. I hve known it to push you all the way down the moorings if the tides and wind are against you. Regards Alan

  22. Boulters are still the cheapest the cheapest on the Broads and with their loyalty scheme they charge £20 for a two tank pump out compared to Brooms £1.51 per litre and £36 for a two tank pump out.
  23. Heading to Norfolk in the morning, calling in Brian Ward's and then the boat and checking into the Holiday Inn North (next to the airport for our AGM this weekend.
  24. That would be great if it happens but my thoughts are that Brooms would purchase it to make their access easier and have more room by the boat lift.
