  1. Our Chemist where I pick up my ordered prescriptions from give out the rapid flow test kits, these are ideal if you have to go somewhere for work after taking other precautions.
  2. Hello William you would be better having a marine electrician or a Auto electrician checking out your wiring especially on your DC circuits. Regards Alan
  3. My Mate Chris would like the thought but would rather play them.
  4. Hello Jim, I still got a few in my crimp bit boxes my guess is that they are 3mm. The current cable sizes and colours is as follows:- Red 1mm, Black 1.5mm, Blue 2.5mm, Gray 4mm, Yellow 6mm above these sizes tends to be uninsulated crimps for heavy duty cables. Regards Alan
  5. Hello Ray if you call in a Brian Wards and see Tanya or Tim they can show you what crimp connectors they have in stock. They may even have setts of mixed crimped terminals. The colour of the plastic on the crimp dictates the current and cable size that is used on the connector, typical colours are Red, Blue, Yellow, Green. Regards Alan
  6. The summer of 1976 we were on a 10 berth 56 foot Narrow Boat on the Trent & Mersey Canal. The lock gates were locked overnight to conserve water. Because of the hot summers of 1975 & 1976 the Ladybower and Derwent dams were so low that the ruins of Ashopton the flooded Derbyshire village could be seen in the receding water as the water levels dropped.
  7. GHD have always been the dearest straightener that you can buy.
  8. Take care Ian and try not to be back in hospital too soon. Regards Alan
  9. We use all of the above but out of season if on shore power we use a lower wattage oil filled radiator in the galley to keep the boat aired overnight.

  12. Hello Kevin, Have a look on the www.boatshare.co.uk website as well have being able to see all the boats that are on the Broads or Canals and when there are shares for sale it also has private adverts for shares wanted and for sale and some listings for starting like minded people to start a syndicate. Ranworth Breeze have been advertising on this site for many years. Regards Alan
  13. We fitted one of these on Ranworth Breeze because of its low height it sits behind our lounge escape hatch and the windscreen. Far better that the pole and aerial we used too use.

  16. Try at the Tingdene Marina Reception to check if they have one in stock.
  17. If you moor at the extreme end of the yacht station where there are a couple of electric posts rather than posts there are mooring rings. So tie up through the the rings and then back to the boat, if the warps are long enough then tie off on the river side of the boat so it is more difficult to untie the boat.
  18. I sounds like you need to order from elsewhere Carole
  19. Hello Helen, As far as I know the Pilot only takes hire boas through.
  20. Hello Ian you and Marina seem to be a magnet to these type of scams. We all tend to get many of these calls and emails each week. Rather than just putting the phone down I tend these days to play them along, its their call and expense so the longer they are on the phone the more it costs them.
  21. On Ranworth Breeze we have always used Craig Dunbar since he started Marine Fab (07957 796665) and before when he was in charge of Broom Fabrication. We have always found his work to be first class.
  22. Hello Ian please wish Marina a Happy Birthday. Regards Alan
