Our local Morrisons had two deliveries of fuel yesterday but were closed again this morning after selling out, no doubt there will be deliveries again today.

I had a notification on my phone yesterday regarding that BP had closed some of their petrol stations due to BP issues with their tanker drivers. Needless now all the sheep have come out of the woodwork. I would have to be desperate to buy from BP anyway.

On varnish I mix the following and rub down with wire wool:- One part methylated spirit, one part white vinegar, one part white spirit, half part linseed oil mix well and pour into a pant kettle or dish a little at a time. Regards Alan

We have taken advantage of the winter discount on carpets, canopy. lounge, forward and upper helm seating.in the past. Needless to say with most Norfolk suppliers delivery dates and deadlines are regarded as advice rather than instructions. Regards Alan

That is a matter of opinion. Each to his or her own.

Our second canopy was made by Custom Craft, my opinion was that the designer had never been on a boat, the leading edges of zips were located behind the upright frame rails which made it difficult to engage them. Our new canopy made by Jeckells addressed this situation, we paid extra for clearer plastic windows and anti rot stitching. The cost of the latest canopy cover was only about 20% more than we paid for the last canopy cover in 2010. We have gone back to Jeckells over the years for stitching work or replacement panels, sadly accidents do happen. Regards Alan

In the case of the unfortunate lady that was killed at Yarmouth had a propeller guard been fitted to the boat it may have saved her. Maybe this could be be an option for the MAIB to consider for hire craft.

The trouble with all the boats pictured is that they have little or no side access, I prefer boats with boarding ladders.

To be honest I prefer Jeckells.
