Recommendations for Afternoon Cream Tea
ranworthbreeze replied to CYGNET's topic in The Broadscot Lounge
What about the café in the little shop at Stokesby? The tearoom at Ludham would get my vote likewise the Staithe & Willow for its location (difficult to get a mooring however). Regards Alan -
Hi Stuart, You could arrange the carriers for both ways, using Interparcel or Parcel Monkey you could send the prop back for around £8.99 plus VAT if you use one of their drop off points, it works out about £6.50 plus VAT. If the prop is under 5kg and it will go into one of Interlinks plastic bags you can send it for £7.99 plus VAT. All the above carriers services can be ordered on line for next day delivery. Regards Alan

Hi John, We used to have a Bruce anchor fitted on Ranworth Breeze which was unsuitable for the Broads but the boat was taken to sea at the time. I purchased the 22kg mud weight that I used to take with me as part of our boat kit, I would change it over at arriving at the boat and the anchor was put into the car boot until we left. When the owners decided to stop taking the boat out to sea in 2006-2007 we permanently fitted a heavier mud weight. I left mine on-board as a spare. Regards Alan

Hi Grace, Beiber!!!! are you having a laugh or what? Tan was devistated when JLS split. I liked Whitney Houston but prefered Dolly Partions original version "Of I will always love you" it had a special meaning to Dolly being as she wrote it. Regards Alan

Toll's, is the policy unfair or even illegal?
ranworthbreeze replied to senator's topic in Broads Chat
That may be the case John, but the Broads Authority needs to be informed when an owner sells a tolled boat so they are aware where to send any renewal (if the boat is still on the Broads, I know not in this case). The last thing a ex owner is to be contacted for any fees for recovery or disposal of a boat they once owned. On a personal front I do not see it being to difficult to give refunds, the DVLA do this with cars so why not the Broads Authority. Regards Alan -
We use similar for hanging backcloths at our local community centre, they are fairly light and well constructed and of course the price is right. Regards Alan

I am sure ours is a 26kg, we also have a spare 22kg when and if needed. Regards Alan

£338,000 does not buy a great deal in construction these days, I think we would all be surprised at some of the costs that the B.A. are paying for dredging, piling refurbishing of moorings etc. Costs have gone through the roof because of Health & Safety. Regards Alan

If you look on our information pages you will see a couple of journey time guides we already have on the forum, you can view or download these files. Regards Alan

Pointless, cruel and somewhat dangerous to the offender, swans can at times be aggressive and unpredictable. Regards Alan

On our 30 visits to the Broads I guess we will have used less than £40 worth of electric cards and we still have about 10 cards in our boat kit. They are easy to buy, you can even buy them from the Broads Authority who will mail them to you. Regards Alan

Black Pudding is not for me. I am sure you will find a good local butchers that will supply B.P. There is a great butchers in Alrewas (on the A38, the Trent & Mersey Canal goes through this picturesque village), we have called in there many times on our visits on the canal. The shop usually has a queue and their products are second to none, their speciality pies are delicious. http://www.coatestraditionalbutchers.co.uk/index.html More local I have heard very good reports of the butchers in Ludham. Superb Bounty 30 For Sale
ranworthbreeze replied to Hylander's topic in Boats and accessories for Sale
Hello Monica, Wishing you the best of luck with the sale of your well maintained and well equipped boat. Please keep us posted on the enquires you have and when it is sold. I do hope like yourselves that your boat goes to someone who will carry on all of your good work on the boat. Regards Alan -
Last December when we were on the boat we had to rely on the electric posts in order to stay warm, we had 2 x 2kw heaters plugged into the shore power, our heating unit had been returned to the manufacturer for a repair. It was rare for us to use more than one card unless we moored up early. To answer wombat nee blow-ups question the reason that there can be a deficit on the meter is that someone has pressed the emergency button on the post to continue its operation, this deficit is taken off the payment on the next card inserted on that meter. The current system is easy to use, when you can get the posts to accept the cards. Keep it simple, most people using an electric kettle at night and in the morning together with the toaster and charging the batteries overnight will use the best part of a £1 credit. We will put the water heater on as well if needs be. As most of you know inductive loads such as elements all make the electric meter spin faster. Regards Alan
