  1. Coffee machine for my costs coffee pods
  2. Grendel, the attention to detail is astounding, I am fascinated by this thread.
  3. Tim, do you take bookings, I have a shed and a workshop in need of your skills.
  4. Sometimes you need to do an engineer reset if it has failed to start a few times, usually just removing the fuse for ten seconds. I have found the fault codes accurate to diagnose the problem but would follow Robins advice first then read the codes, then do a rest if needed.
  5. I am disappointed we didn't make YouTube though: YET
  6. It's amazing what kitchen tables get used for, anybody still eat at them
  7. http://www.medwayqueen.co.uk/news/a-new-neighbour Vanessa, The Medway Queen is still about.
  8. Let me think about that…… NO
  9. I am off to Budapest in the morning, Formula One here I come.
  10. It is a fascinating programme. I would willingly pay my license fee just to watch these nature programmes
  11. Tim, I enjoy your social commentary as much as you joinery exploits.
  12. I will have you known I come from a long line of Beavers
  13. My family name should be Beaver but it was changed when my father was adopted as a small child. Am I an endangered species or an unwanted predator. My company logo is a beaver as we partly deal with timber framed houses. this was designed before we uncovered the original family name.
  14. Had a good look onboard, very nice, probably over spec. It has a back up whisper generator, why. Very bright and roomy and everything can be changed including the size of the floor plan. It is not a boat and not ideal as a liveaboard but would make a great holiday cottage or let. I suspect they will appeal to Marina owners who want to add holiday lodges. The biggest drawback, sixty thousand pounds. I can buy a lot of broads cruiser for that and let it sit on a mooring.
  15. And a few more, looks good from the photos, hoping to get on it tomorrow for a proper look at the standards of construction.
  16. They put it out, moved the lorry and it caught alight again. The traffic was Chocabloc
  17. That would be the lorry fire with 25 tons of chocolate ( don't tell Grace ). It played havoc all day. Even the Wagon Wheels melted I will spare you all the chocolate puns Peter.
  18. I picked a used one up off ebay for a tenner, never used it but always kept handy
  19. Hope you are on the mend Charlie. I keep a four rung hooked ladder onboard, we are both strong swimmers but do have elderly guests from time to time. We are fortunate to have high sided walk around sides and back but you never know. With my wobbly head this year the balance was a bit off at times so better safe than sorry. Getting up a high boat side in wet clothes is not easy.
  20. I watched a young lad of about 10 practicing mooring side on and stern on in his grandads boat while grandad was happily reading his paper. He tied up, turned off, restarted, cast off and maneuvered around the river. Granddad relaxed. Not a bow thruster to be heard. Oh, the boat was a twin engine 45 foot gin palace. That young man was an expert single hand helm, very calm and competent. So much for the rules
  21. Can I see a fag paper between the roof and the bridge
  22. Wouldn't fit under the rail bridges
  23. I don't thing the intention is as a liveboard more as a weekend retreat. The Medway marina do not officially have liveaboards, even the static caravans have a two week break clause each year. I can see these being popular in some areas as floating lodges. 240v hook up, water systems and good insulation. I will have a good look around at the weekend. The internal fit out is to a high standard from what I have seen.
