Roys Hit By Ransomeware

I was in the food store yesterday, no printed receipts available but the card machines were happily working ok 😁. Strangely the two clothes etc units were issuing receipts! Sounds as if it’s all been a bit of a nightmare for them.

No business would ever pay the ransom. Bit of disruption whilst setting up again from scratch and a few more precautions to hopefully avoid a repeat.  There’s a whole industry ready and waiting to prevent such a thing happening again, scary sharks with no teeth in reality though, scary when you’re an employee and it happens, got the t shirt.

Sure that's right, but they would never admit it. The weak link is befriending employees who have access to the passwords. And it's amazing how many don't have adequate back-ups to roll the data back.

Tried to access this site on my mobile about 1/2 hour ago and got 'community unavailable'. Thankfully its back now. I hope the ransom wasn't too much.
