Bikertov
The water level at Jones in St.Ives (RGO) has been back to normal for a couple of days now, having dropped from over 1.1m the last week With a good weather window, they are starting to put boats back in the water from today, rather than next week.

And the same week last yearI could have got under but I was the other side of Wroxham bridge and noticed too late to bother getting down there. So you never know, have faith and miracles might happen, at least for a few days each year. You just have to cancel all jobs, down tools and get there quick! 3

Coming down tomorrow, maybe a cruise on Sunday if things are ok. I’ve not seen the boat since December so a good clean is the 1st priority

marshman
Seem to have big tides out at sea at the moment and a stiff easterly so that is not going to help this current trend, but it seems to be short lived with the wind going back to the SW again from about Wednesday. We just don't need anymore heavy rain!! Hopefully that will allow water levels to continue to get back towards more normal levels.
SwanR
The road and the car park down at NBD in Wroxham seem to be clear for the first time in months .... apart from the few weeks I don't know about because I wasn't here.

The Kings Arms pub had water over the windows not long ago Been there, done that, admittedly it was last boat (front boat in pic). 2 week trip started from st.neots on the great ouse and ended up back there, 2009 it was, 450 litres of diesel and similar number of miles later, the trip from well to hulls was a tad interesting, came back via the trent and witham. Now please don't tell me breydon is scary, it really isn't. The flood markers in the pub are interesting, a couple are up by the fan light windows, when we were there at had been very wet and the river went up by around 10 feet an a couple of days. Be very grateful the broads catchment doesn't run off the pennines.....
