  1. I've been amazed at the line up of big Broom boats for sale this year, Alan. I can only think that more will follow. We are seriously considering our future on the water.
  2. I read it last night, Peter. very informative, as you say, and also saddening for peeps on fixed pensions... "Only the cost of a tankful of diesel" indeed!
  3. Sounds just the job for these cold nights, Steve. We'll try it during our ten days starting this Thursday!
  4. A very warm "Welcome Aboard" to the ten new Members who have joined us since I last posted on 31st October. Please let's hear from you all soon!
  5. Polly, Hi. You duplicated this thread and I've temporarily hidden the second one.
  6. So glad that you're getting there, Eric. " 23 Jul 2015 - Like its predecessor, the new HR-V is also based on a supermini – the Jazz – but ... Price: £24,295; Engine: 1.5-litre 4cyl petrol " Things here are getting better after the funeral last Tuesday and we're venturing oop North next weekend. Ah me! But better late than never as we've only been out on Friday Girl once (to the Autumn Meet) since the Summer Meet.
  7. Hello, ginbottle and a warm welcome aboard the good ship NBN! Here's our version!
  8. This last week has seen us gain eight new members, including one every day in sequence! A Very Warm Welcome to you all and please let's hear from you in "New Members say Hi".
  9. I just ruddy marvel at your skill and patience, I truly do!
  10. If Coldham Hall's side-on moorings are full it can be a bit tricky reversing in but surely not as difficult as The Ferry House where the river is narrower?
  11. Indeed, please do. We live with a "plastic bathtub" and I just let it wash all over me!
  12. Hear! Hear! Very well said, Vanessa and Alan.
  13. Interesting, Alan. Dave is a very old friend of ours from RNSYC days and we shall visit him again in November/December.
  14. (MOD Hat now OFF) I am blown away with the injustice of it all if that is factual, Peter. There is no way that anyone's salary or pension is going to keep up with that. Ours won't. I really do wonder in which cuckoo land these people live................
  15. Do you do bank transfers, Neil? (Your bank online).
  16. Best Wishes in your new home and life, Eric!
  17. It only needs a lack of concentration of a few seconds for that to happen as I videod last Summer after the Summer Meet. Going down Oulton Dyke I looked at my GPS momentarily and ended up bouncing off the wooden bank............
  18. There was a complaint, Fred and your post has been hidden while we look into it. (It was not by Clive). We will try to be speedy but some of us do have to work, unfortunately.......
  19. I've got a gmail account, Tim, but only infrequently use it as my literally hundred or more addresses that I have are all on bt. When I've sorted out the spam I transfer the rest to outlook for permanent retention. JA, behave!
  20. Both my laptop and PC run W10 and I thought I'd ask a question about a topic which is increasingly vexing me. I connect to btinternet infinity via Chrome and check my mail first thing every morning. Despite putting hundreds of messages into the Spam box they just reappear within hours or days. I frequently receive 90 or more spam messages a day............ What ever can I do to stop this, please?
  21. Europe used to change about two weeks different to us such that we had the same time zone for a short while every year. This was very good for my Commercial Department as they then had another TWO hours to trade with Europe. Now here is the latest: https://www.timeanddate.com/time/dst/2016.html
