  1. Very impressive Mark Iain
  2. Hi MM, Started a new thread rather than disrupt Jim's. I have not been down to the Locks Inn for a wee while, but would guess Griff would have a fair idea how many boats can be moored down there. These are the tide tables for 2015. http://www.herbertwoods.co.uk/2015-tide-time-table.pdf Iain.
  3. Hi and welcome to the NBN Forum I hope you are successful in finding info on your boat. With several boatyard members on here, you hopefully, may get feed back soon. Iain.
  4. I left at 8am from Coltishall Green and it took me till just after 6pm. But that was 1980 and speed restrictions were not the same then. I did it on a Porter & Haylett boat Ritaline1. That boat was not heavily governed as the bow raised when you gave it a bit of welly. I do remember the ebb being fast that day. It was early April. So yes, I would say today MMs times are about right. Iain.
  5. Wonder if you can still get one https://www.youtube.com/embed/mNWr9eF2Huk Iain
  6. Many thanks indeed for allowing us to share your holiday, Looks like you had a good time, well afternoon naps are always a good sign you have. Iain.
  7. Hi Alan, I was under the assumption JM has things in motion? I could be wrong though. Iain
  8. This a question to Mr Clive Ricko, just WHY are many of the double berths so narrow? Or is it as the years have passed folks today are bigger boned? I know I have struggled in a so called double and ended up sleeping in the saloon berth. Iain.
  9. Hi Grace, Tell yer hubby to tale up tiddly winks as a sport....MUCH safer as the years go by! Iain.
  10. Hi David, Yes, could not agree more, I will deffo be watching the Forum Superstar Blog/ Review Reporter, his most masterful London Rascal, ROBIN! Throughout the winter months. Iain.
  11. SWMBO says, lovely fit out of curtains and fixtures, but, a pity the bedding doesn't match! The electrical side was of interest to me, its a sort of mini ship generation power system. While modern and new to the hire fleet, its not that new in the scheme of things. I agree about the access to the upper deck with kids, when the boat is on the move, I prefer the other style. Overall a very nice boat at a premium price. As they say, just like all things modern, the perfect boat aint been built....yet! Or has it? Iain.
  12. Hi Frank, Check it aint a remote control one that Jon at Wayford has sent down to keep an eye on the work you are doing to your new boat. That new office of his, could well be his new CCTV control centre Iain.
  13. Hi Bill, Found these..... any good? http://www.axminster.co.uk/arrow-t50-stainless-steel-staples Iain
  14. Hylander my reply to that is, it always has been a failing of ALL Brinks boats with frosted glass. None appear to have modesty curtains. I had to tell a chap on Ultima that not a lot was left to the imagination when the lights were on in the Heads area. He went out and put a bathtowel over the said area. Iain.
  15. Bring back the daily dose of Castor Oil and Syrup of Figs.... I say Iain.
  16. Nah too young to be JM Iain. p.s. Great pic JM
  17. The airfield at Beccles where the market is, I assume was a WW2 one also? Iain.
  18. Hi SGWilco, I use to be like Griff, but for a few more years longer shall we say. Over twenty years it was in my case. Never give up, there is always an opening somewhere, and it will find you. Good luck to you. Iain.
  19. Tick, Tick Tick....yup we are "Watching" your every move young Alan on here Yes, all kidding apart, it must be great to see all your hard work now coming together. Ever nearer the finnishing post! Iain.
  20. Hi again Tony, Like all bath tubs and FB Wilds 34' in particular, on very windy days keeping it straight is good fun Some were starboard steering so you could look straight through to the rear door when stern on mooring. The Perkins engine was not too noisey being at the stern of the boat. If ducted warm air with the timer at the rear door as you entered, heat to the saloon had to have a gas heater also to augment the heating. Saloon is roomy though and not too bad even with the pull down wall bed down. I have probably forgotten something, but have no fear, a member will be along to correct me. Iain
  21. No worries Dave, it can and does happen. Now to the others, yes a good debate but now is the time to put it to zzzzzzz Ta muchly Iain.
  22. Hi Tony, Welcome to the NBN forum. I hired many of that craft in the mid to late nineties. a roomy boat indeed, Iain.
  23. Right ladies and gentlemen, to use the word seen in on this thread "respect" JONZO asked you to put it to bed, I am also asking politely to do so. Enough is enough, thank you. Iain.
