You need to actually speak to these folk! They get more than their share of time wasters so will respond to direct contact. I think you will find most yards like this.
I tried a similar device once. I found that, on most of the Broads, there was not enough depth for the thing to work effectively. The blurb for this does not mention a minimum depth needed! I would stress that most of the spots I tried it were on nice quiet "fishy" moorings and didn't try it in the middle of the Yare for instance!
Might be worth having a word with either Swancraft or wandering along to Brundall Gardens where Gary is pretty good at this sort of stuff although they are not cheap!
Wildfuz may advise on security. I don't know if they still have those outboard covers?
Some may have already seen this via facebook. If you haven't, its an astounding account of skill, invention, adaptation, patience and dedication. Just for a change, its a restoration that has mostly finished.

Good to see at least one chick doing well at Norwich. We have three very lively chicks on our Wakefield Cathedral camera.

Dave (Dilligaf) might have some suggestions on this! I do know he can switch his heating on from the pub whilst ordering the first of his last six pints!
As I recall, Martham did a superb restoration of "Juliette Of Martham". Yes, I know it was for a private owner. I have actually seem her and she truly is a superb craft.
Very good contribution MM. I have always thought along those lines as well. Yes, the Lakes are all about fun and leisure but not speedboat based disruption that would dominate most of the water area and intrude on fellside meanderings.
I thought so. Only slightly confused because Jon stuck these up on one of his sets of "Wayford daily action" posts!
Wondered if he had undertaken some "civic improvements"!
The channels for my sliding windows have an excellent crop of moss growing! Cleaning this out is easy enough with cotton buds but does anyone use anything to try and prevent growth? Short of painting them with paraquat? Does anyone lubricate the slides??
Not one to get into this somewhat stupid and ill concealed bile spitting nonsense. Both "sides" have pluses and minuses. One thing common to both is that there is interesting reading.
All these barbed comments stem from daft personality clashes in the past and have resulted in this ridiculous "us and them" attitude. Folk on both sides being guilty. And please do not restart this awful "other side bad - our side angelic" moderation stuff. Its all be said before.
I will simply visit and enjoy both.
