  1. Ah but what if you put it down as entertainment for clients?
  2. Exactly my thoughts Recolour would take ages but here it is in B&W
  3. When I ran pubs, Whitbread had a sharpening service, that used to arrive every month and take away one set and bring you back last moths collection. The guy regularly called but never took anything from us. On time he asked me why, I handed him a paring knife, which he duly checked. Blast that's sharp he said. I hope so I sharpened it this morning. Where did you learn that! My Uncle was a butcher he taught me how. He also taught me good quality knives and quality steels. French possibly second best. But couldn't beat Sheffield steel for sharpness. Pity so many have gone by the wayside.
  4. Shouldn't need to buy two Griff. Usually do most mainstream makes. Had good reviews on you tube from pros and amateur car repairers of the Topdon ArtiDiag500. Amazon reviews are good too about £138.
  5. Grendel old trick but it works. The croc clips if they wont grip the material, slip two pieces of plastic tubing or even shrink wrap over the jaws. Makes good flat jaws that will grip anything.
  6. Have a friend who went out for a night with her friend from work. Both contracted Omicron. Her friend has been absolutely knocked for six with it and tested day 6 and was clear after being positive on day five. But my friend has no symptoms and has not proved negative until day 8. Totally weird.
  7. Having repaired a clock radio using those mini micro led's. I feel your pain Grendel
  8. Lovely Sentiment Andrew. I would also like to take this opportunity to say. A Very Happy New Year and a very happy, safe and when possible, indulgent time on the Broads in whichever mode you enjoy in 2022. To all the ones that we have lost in the past 12 months, my thought are with them.
  9. Monica my thoughts and condolences go out to you and your family. Not a good time of year as I know so well.
  10. Yes Vaughan well put. Putting on my Admin hat. Please no conjecture as to whom this maybe.
  11. Norfolk Lowlands person finding dog went missing before Christmas https://www.edp24.co.uk/news/suffolk-search-dog-found-safe-after-week-missing-8588070
  12. Yes it needs to be a wavelength of the frequency but mobile phones transmit on 3 to 9Mhz a full wavelength of which is 100 to 30mm So you could get away with division wavelength of a coiled antenna of 2-3, 2-6 or 5-9mm
  13. Was that you Ian in the third picture? You do scrub up well.
  14. Ian! Don't let on you are a chef or they will have you grilling their delicious Herring. They do this for the summer fete and used to be at the Yarmouth Maritime festival too.
  15. It's not her own decorating the Queen was referring to. It was everywhere she has ever visited. From time immemorial always smells of fresh paint. The joke has been going round for years even when I met them at Lord Brabournes estate, when doing a bit of beating for the shoot in the late 60's. The joke was bandied about, because, there was no fresh paint in the large barn where the food was laid on. And the other answer is. Yes. The queen used to be a very good shot with her own set of Purdeys.
  16. As long as there are plenty of the letters of the Greek alphabet still left to use. Maybe.
  17. And remember he's a true Yorkshireman. So wont be buying his sen a packet of crisps.
  18. Griff so glad it worked being able to see that grin, made all OK
  19. Griff On Dropbox at the right hand side of the folder, hover your mouse under Members. It should come up with copy link, click on that and then open a post on NBN, paste (ctrl+v) into the post.
  20. Yes and the quote to fix what took you under an hour. Would have entailed lots of parts ordered and your car held at ransom for about 3 weeks, whilst someone undid two plugs and replaced half the wiring loom. Problem is nowadays main dealers don't repair they just replace. We don't train Engineers nowadays, just parts fitters.
  21. But the rest of him is stuck to various objects and historic parts of Suffolk.
