  1. If it was Old Nyx in it's hey day. You wouldn't have spotted it. Just sort of melded into the vegetation.

  3. Someone posted on social media (possibly Twatter) they are now printing Solar panels onto Cellophane like material. They are about 7 inches wide and about 6metres long and you can adhere them with double sided tape to a roof they connect to a central bus bar. From the colour of them its a copper based ink on a revolving drum printer. Found on You Tube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5evOIe4IvP8&t=4s

  7. Thought they still looked after the farthings, so long since most of them dipped in their pockets
  8. If you were expecting "Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plain" To quote Basil. Sorry but two of them are in an enclosure in either Blean or Thorndene woods, at Wildwood country park between Canterbury and Whitstable in Kent.
  9. And with the price of electricity to rise again in the autumn. How expensive will it be, to charge an electric vehicle anyway!
  10. Burtons and John Colliers in Yorkshire, used to have the choice of trouser pockets in their bespoke suits. Long and extra long (i.e Knee or ankle length)
  11. Correct I used to photograph our local councils Garden competition. Permission forms had to be collected from every entrant. No signature. Not published This was the case every year since it started in the 80's. We even had to then get their permission for the prize winners photo's to be used.

  18. The people who reintroduced otters to the many rivers of Norfolk. Were the Norfolk Otter Trust based on the lower Waveney at Earsham near Bungay. Run by the much vaunted Phillip Wayre one of the country's leading conservationists and naturalists. Not only did they introduce them they also released many into the lower Waveney. Saying (and I quote) "Probably most important is the fact that it's no longer necessary, or indeed desirable, to keep British otters in captivity." In South Norfolk I am friends with two carp lake owners or managers. This cost them a fortune both had to have their lakes fenced as they were losing, prized 40 year (and upwards) old carp to otters. One lady I know it cost her £18,000 just for the fencing, luckily the members of the syndicate who fish there erected it.
  19. You forgot the list of jobs Mrs G has for you at home.
  20. Well it only needs one as he often repeats them.
  21. Just about to recommend Fareclar G3 as well Top tip from detailers put the polish on the mop in spots, then dab the mop lightly onto the surface as many times until the polish stops leaving deposits. Then polish, it stops it spraying everywhere.

  24. I lost my Dad to cancer when I was only 22, so we had only 3 and a half years of serious drinking time before he was taken. Yeah my Dad enjoyed a pint or two. I never did get his whole army career out of him. He lied and joined at 17 in 1927, did his time in Palestine, Egypt, India. Rangoon. Singapore and most places exotic, including Ireland. Came out in 1935 and went into Civvy street working as a barman for a while. Of course 1939 happened and he was in the reserves and was one of the first into the B.E.F and escaped from La Panne. Just one 24 hour period I would like with him, just to answer the questions I never got those answers to. R.I.P Dad one day soon we may get that chat for longer than 24 hours.
