  1. Sitting in the seat and pressing key and door buttons for single press unlocking or anti hijack
  2. I started this in 2000 when I was out in Turkey with the RAF for four months. It sat in the garage for the last 20 years but about six months ago I decided to resurrect it, step the masts and rig it.
  3. Modify one of the bridges.............
  4. My 20 min commute home took an hour yesterday. Went up the Coltishall road from the NDR and it was backing up from the top of the 'White Horse hill' at Crostwick. Managed to turn round and go out to Buxton, Scottow, Smallburgh. Even turning right out the airport is a nightmare at the moment because of roadworks
  5. Has to be done by a tree surgeon
  6. I have one colleague who has refused the vaccine. Like me he is ex millitary, so somewhat surprised as I have a jab record like a supermarket printout. What's one ( or three ) more. Only one I ever declined was Anthrax. They were unclear of the side effects, and I believed it's use would probably have triggered Armageddon from the USA anyway, so regarded it as a low risk - after all it's not in normal circulation. Oh - and he's now got COVID
  7. Well yesterday lunchtime I had my Pfizer booster, having originally had AZ for first two. Bit headachy and lethargic today, but nothing too bad. Getting really annoyed though by the number of people still not wearing masks in supermarkets. I accept some may not have to, but the majority of those not complying that I have seen are young men, often in pairs or groups, and normally dressed casually rather than smartly ( my 18 year old daughter describes them as 'road men' but that's a bit outside my vocabulary )
  8. No, these days it's 'sick'
  9. Not showing o any of the tracking sites still..... Last up 14:15
  10. I have an UltraPIR intruder alarm - Sounds an alarm and calls / texts me if it goes off. Can call up to three numbers such as yard etc. You can silence or disarm from your mobile. Ultrasecure Direct Also have a 30W solar panel that keeps my 180 amps of batteries very happy from Photonicuniverse Both are fairly cheap - both do exactly what I want . About £160 for both.
  11. I did look it up, and I think if he has 'pre-booked' he can get an exemption
  12. Still chasing the errant leak over the weekend. New idea - it's leaking 2 inches above the deck ! Actually the foward 'chain locker' in the bow. I now suspect in heavy rain it was filling faster than it could drain and rising to a hatch with poor sealing. Bring on a storm and I'll see
  13. 60 footer if I googled the right one......
  14. Shame - I got to Colt just after the Anchor must have closed. Would have liked to have experienced that AND the Eagle in Neatishead. I remember as a young 18 year old cycling from RAF Coltishall, exploring the various lanes, byways... and pubs. One clear recollection was finding the Black Shed on the staithe at Barton Turf and thinking how scenic it was. Funny to think I'd later be living in the village ( which also has no pubs now, of course )
  15. Yep ( me ) - solid walls, reed partition walls and ceilings. Typical old Norfolk village red brick
  16. Yes - was looking round her Monday night in the yard - impressive, and somewhat strange looking out of the water
  17. Yacht, with water turbine as well as solar to charge the batteries for an electric drive system ?
  18. Tescos Blue Boar had no diesel Friday / Saturday am. By PM all pumps closed BUT three delivery trucks filling. They obviously keep some back
  19. Daddy boat, Mummy boat, Baby boat, and two canoes here - smaller are sailing dinghies though....
  20. In aviation Cladosporium Resinae is a known issue - as diesel and aviation fuel are very similar, is the bug too ?
  21. Here is the morning petrol forecast ( on the commute @ 06:30 ): Wroxham, Jet. - depression, no stock Tesco, Blue Boar, - stock, queues building, occasionally heavy, back to main road Esso, ring road - depression, no stock Apple Green, Firs Aylsham Road - stock, queues building, moderate, back to traffic lights
  22. Probably having to pull them back from OPs or post deployment leave. Military MT are thin on the ground these days with much done by Civvies or reservists
  23. Darn - got my hopes up there
