  1. Yes vast majority of people here Vaughan have done as asked and stayed at home. We have a few ignorant selfish idiots as I’m sure there is in France maybe we have more journalist looking for a story. John
  2. Just goes to show kicking a ball around isn’t important at all. The nurses and doctors should be getting their pay and the footballers getting the reverse pay 😀 John

Congratulations to you and your family Charlie very nice to hear a bit of good news 😀
  4. Our mornings walk and exercise today was around Salhouse broad. Living at the other end of the village we don’t get there very often as we are lucky to have many lovely walks through the fields around here. It was a bit strange having no cars on the car park which is having many trees cut down and revamp inc the dreaded pay and display machine. It was very calm and surreal with no boats and people around. John

Hi Neil this will do the trick if a little expensive though. We had the same type of blocks on a previous house , the joints are larger than the standard block paving. Regards john

Look great Charlie but wouldn’t like to pay that bill at £100 per hour😂
  15. They can’t fix them fast enough, as soon as they fit new warning signs and new kerbs they have been taken out again. John
  16. It’s looked unloved for a few years I always felt it was a shame as it just needed a good scrub and it would have been a nice boat, with no electric on that side of the basin flat batteries and a flooded aft must have taken its toll. Hopefully it can be rescued. John

  19. Oh yes the clever electric drop down bunk bed with an aluminium ladder such fun in the middle of the night with bear feet I remember it well😂 John
  20. We were going to do the same thing last year so decided to hire a motor home first to see if we liked it. We used Capricorn campers in Norfolk and toured the Dorset area for a week. Although we the van was brand new and couldn’t fault the company we found it was just too cramped and every time you wanted to go anywhere everything had to be put away also with driving a lot with work it wasn’t much of a relaxing holiday really. I’m sure they suit a lot of people though as they are getting very popular. John
  21. https://www.fakenhamtimes.co.uk/news/london-couple-living-in-wells-made-unwelcome-1-6335582 The story with more detail as in the EDP earlier in the week. I would guess it’s the local authority housing thing that might rile the locals. John
  22. What a complete idiot, brilliant though that he had the camera to show the clever columnists true colours, he obviously thinks he owns the waterways. John
  23. Looks like Brundall is to have an Italian restaurant, sounds good to me😀 https://www.edp24.co.uk/business/lavender-house-in-brundall-building-sells-at-auction-for-222-000-1-6338335
