I usually enjoy Strictly and had been looking forward to seeing some of the best movie week routines. I was therefore disappointed with the format of this programme and gave up after about 20 minutes. :(
What a lovely write-up and great photos. I still haven’t tried the Ferry at Surlingham yet but it sounds like the place to be. Here’s to your mum and dad and let’s hope that you’re able to get back in November.
Lovely holiday tale. Looking forward to hearing how everything else goes. I hope you will share about your time in the cottage. Is it one of FM’s properties? We did that 12 years ago.
The throttle cable snapped while we were on board, I think that’s what it was. Couldn’t switch from the upper helm back to the lower one and then couldn’t engage gear at all. The yard were great but they had quite a job to pull the boat apart to fit the new cable, which is when they remarked that they hadn’t done the fit out.
I’ve had the app on my phone for a long time but rarely use it. I prefer just using the website as normal in a browser. I got fed up with all our emoticons appearing as the text codes behind them instead of the pictures. I don’t know whether that ever changed.
It’s a vast improvement this afternoon with the hamburger menu back and being able to get to notifications and messages and the ability to change which view I’m looking at, all on the browser on my phone. Great stuff. Thank you so much.
I thought that I would give the app another go this evening. It loaded with me logged in which was an improvement on my last try. But there was no content now at all.
Lovely photos David. You must be eager for your next trip on board Goosander. We stayed at another Premier Inn recently and found it very comfortable and relaxing.
I am accessing the forum on a Safari browser on an iPhone.
I have a personalised view set up but can’t see how I can get to other options such as Last 24 Hours.
I can’t see how to get to messages.
And the most recent post still isn’t necessarily the one showing against a topic.
I expect you know about these but thought I would add them for the benefit of visibility to others.
We received this as well. We used to go down to Bluewater from time to time along with other occasional journeys south. But we really weren’t using it now so were happy to let it close.
Very interesting. I had read some of this. The north beach definitely looked as if there had been noticeable erosion along there when we returned to the area this summer. We saw the body of the whale that had been left down there as well. I was surprised that it hadn’t been removed although admittedly I don’t know what that involves.
I picked up on this yesterday. Sad to see another incident down there. It will be interesting to see whether it leads to any kind of investigation depending on whether it’s in any way similar to the last one.
For now I just wish all the best to those involved.
We had Zircon last year. Beware there is a very deep step in through the rear door. And the table in the sitting area gets in the way a bit. Ferry Marina apparently didn’t do the fit out on this one according to an engineer we were talking to. But they have another very similar boat without the table there.
Lovely boat but I would take Fair Marquess if I was going again and wanting that style of boat.
Useful to know that the app is ok. I don’t usually use it preferring the browser even when I’m in my mobile phone. But it’s very useful right now. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
I’ve stayed at the Premier Inn by the river in Norwich as well. That was also very good, just depends whether you want to be going into the city centre. Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
Depending what you are looking for I tend to find that a Premier Inn is as good as anywhere. I used one recently which was at Broadlands Business Park just off the A47, east of Norwich. Room was great, bed very comfortable and the food good in the Brewers Fayre restaurant. All very well organised and COVID secure.
