I have no problem with paddle boarders as they have the same right to enjoy themselves as anyone else. My only problem with some of them is the same as many cyclists on the roads.....they think they own all of it and do not consider other people trying to use THEIR space. Jeff

How can boatyards advertise "all inclusive" prices for holidays they sell you when the price you pay does not include everything? The price you pay may include Fuel, Insurance, Cancellation cover, car parking all of which were classed as extras at one time. I have yet to see that the cost of moorings, pump outs ,passage through bridges, water top up etc are included making the price TRULY all inclusive. It would be interesting to hear how they can advertise something and not supply it when it has been paid for Jeff

jeffbroadslover replied to grendel's topic in Speakers' Corner:
Griff, I would say that maybe you should not be in either team but should take on the role of JUDGE. After all I do believe you have a 12bore!!!!!! lol Jeff -
I too would like to wish everyone on the forum a happy and healthy 2022 My thoughts also are with the families and friends of all those who sadly no longer with us at this time Jeff

Just A Heads Up- Boat Damaged At Neatishead
jeffbroadslover replied to grendel's topic in Speakers' Corner:
Griff, In your post you mention that Mr Boat Owner on discovering this criminal damage "asked the fishermen if they saw anything or knew anything about what had happened" they said they knew nothing. From this I assume that this was he same fishermen as were there the day before so maybe it was an organized event. Just a thought Jeff -
I wish everyone a merry Christmas and a safe, happy and healthy New Year. A very big thank you to all the background crew who put in countless hours to keep the forum up and running AND try to keep it out of trouble. Jeff

Suggest you have a chat with Summercraft. Their varnished wooden boats always looked immaculate back in the days Jeff

I cannot believe that a "driver" of an F1 car can be allowed to force a proper driver off the road more than once in a race without having his wrist slapped by the people who are supposed to see "fair play" throughout the race. It's not the first time either - remember the conversation asking Red Bull to take a change of grid position IF they agreed with it. It makes you wonder how much Red Bull had to pay for the "no Action" decision. I have read somewhere that RB have asked for permission to fit bull bars to MV's car ready for next year !!! Jeff

I wonder if NBD have a agreement with Camelot to put an advert in the envelope with the 1st prize winners cheque ?!?! lol Jeff

My wife likes to talk to the ones that cannot be understood in a language and accent that she makes up on the spot. it's amazing how quickly they put the phone down to end the call. Jeff

I find it difficult to accept that it is ok to force an opponent off the road, take short cuts on several occasions , "slow down to let opponent pass when told to do so and weave left and right when opponent is trying to pass, slam the brakes on to force opponent to run into the back of you (hopefully causing him enough damage to force him out of the race) and then claim that you have done nothing wrong and "cannot understand what the idiot was doing when he ran into me." By the way, don't forget that if all went to plan and he has to retire due to damage from hitting my back-end the I win the championship and "Oh look how clever I am I outwitted him and he fell for it" Show him how to drive properly Lewis !!!!!! Can I suggest using Granny Smith's as they are usually nice and firm. Jeff

Had to have a little giggle at this one; Fancy a discussion about luxuries like rear view mirrors when i remember the days of no showers and no fridges !!!!!! lol Jeff

Thanks Tim and all the team for all the time and hard work you all put in to keep this forum afloat. Hoping it will continue for a long, long time to come so that a great number of us can still get our daily fix. Jeff

Just been looking at the BB webcam. Does anyone know what the blue hulled boats are which are "parked" on the car park area opposite the the main yard? I also noticed that there are some boats on the tarmac area to the far left of the yard Jeff

I remember in the late 60's reading both brochures enough times for me to be able to tell anyone details of any boat including :- boat name, boatyard, length and beam, number of beds( double and single), layout and whether front, rear or central steering. Wouldn't it have been nice to have some other activity to keep me occupied ?!!!!!! lol Jeff Oh to have such a good memory nowadays

Congratulations to Richardsons . To be rated as the best in Norfolk is one thing but the BEST IN BRITAIN is something else Jeff

It seems to me that Hoseasons still have not got any staff who actually know what they are trying to sell. If they were selling houses they would probably show a picture of a dolls house and advertise it as a newly built palace !?!?! Jeff

If all else fails there is always faceache. Apparently people cannot resist telling you what they think they know on there Jeff
