Fantastic picture of the big day Griff, it almost looks like a painting! Your daughter looks beautiful, of course! Congratulations to them 🥂🍾

I suspect in many cases it is not so much that they don't understand but that they don't care. The gradual shift over the years toward self obsessed entitlement has accelerated (in my opinion) since Covid. You can't fail to notice it in many aspects of life.

Absolutely spot on 👍👍👍

Volunteers to assist Neil should form an orderly queue 😁

Wot, you mean my teechers got sumthink rong? 😂😂😂 Yep I do agree about being positive Vaughan 👍 🍻

I agree about being positive surrounding The Broads and all there is to enjoy, but last May was only 8 weeks ago. Rowdy crews however rare can be the ruin of family holidays and I think they are responsible for putting off more holidaymakers than a post discussing the problem on one internet forum... even if the video turns out to be the May before last!

Congratulations to them, wishing them a wonderful day and much happiness together 🔔🥂🍾

Great idea and much respect to those undertaking it. I think every one of us will be following this thread!

Right to buy! Good idea in principal of course but it could only ever work without causing homelessness if a proper replacement building prorgram was executed. Again, this is not political because there are many reasons why the rental housing stock could not be replenished and there are many other reasons for homelessness. It's just one of the factors.

I know there are 3 sides to every story, protaganist, opposition and the facts but what is to be gained from being contrary, difficult and awkward? 3 prime sites, even with constraints, that could be an entrepreneur's dream with investment and good ideas in keeping with location and planning regs. Obviously I don't know all the facts but on the face of it this whole enterprise is a massive own goal.

When I told Gill I wanted to get a new boat I simply returned from the moorings with a bunch of flowers, it was Feb 14th anyway so 2 birds with one stone 😂 True story 😁

Welcome to the forum 🍺 We all recognise the feeling of falling in love with the Broads. Having had a boat before you're in a good position to decide whether ownership or a syndicate is best for you, they both have advantages 👍

How And ,why And When Did You First Visit The Broads
Ray replied to Chelsea14Ian's topic in Broads Chat
When we were moored at Sutton Staithe we would head down the Ant in hopes of finding the nice cut in wild mooring on the starbound side heading downstream between How Hill and Ludham Bridge When we moored at PH we would head for Womack and the little wild mooring on the starboard just after you turn off the Thurne Now we moor at Brundall we like Rockland for a first night. All these are short cruises because traditionally we enjoy a good pub lunch before casting off 😁🍺 -

I think that says it perfectly 👍 I've always loved wild mooring for overnight especially when you find a spot for just your one boat, the peace and wildlife spotting opportunities are priceless. Sadly compared to when we started boating such spots are rarer and harder to find. -
