How weedy and shallow was it?

Mine has gone but I think some of the bowman's have a threaded in rad cap fitted that you can get as a spare, a good engineering place can probably maching the old one out and tap the thread. Talk to bowman.

Gotta admit talktalk have been great for me, good speeds all the time and when they didn't renew at the deal I wanted I signed up to Vodafone and cancelled at last minute to get the deal I wanted plus a £130 bonus off my bill and 2 months free. Think I'll be doing the same in autumn when the contract runs out again. Virgin on the other hand had got pathetically slow for hideous price, glad I escaped. Never plugged into the landline so scam calls are few and far between on the mobile.

That may been the way a call I got a couple of days ago was going as I'm with talktalk, the foreign voice got as far as saying they were my broadband provider when I answered "that's nice for you, p*ss off" and hung up. They never called back though.

The rangers are still not the problem, they just do as instructed from on high.

We've done the route via the tracks before and got a cracking swoop from a barn owl along the way. Much nicer than the main road, you still have to do a bit of road but not nearly as much.

If you had VHF radio that would be a "Pan Alco" call, similar to a "Pan Pan" but less urgent as you still had the gin, run out of the gin and it would be a full blown "Mayday". The main point is someone has pointed out the legality of the blue light usage and it's been shown to not be allowed in law unless one of the named services, the law could do with changing but what criteria do you set to allow the use by other independent services that would still stop any idiot calling themselves a rescue service and strapping blue lights on the vehicle to get past traffic. I doubt the police would actually stop an independent lifeboat on blue lights but as pointed out earlier in the thread if something goes wrong the driver and any accomplices are in deep do do.

I have no objection whatsoever about it, but being a southern rivers boater it's not in my back yard.

Everyone expecting to get on a boat and run all 240v gadgets doesn't help, I don't have an inverter at all and if no shore power 12v will have to do or I have to lug the genny out.

I'm meeting up with campervany people at burgh castle for a blast across breydon and a beer or five hoping the coronation will keep the water quiet enough for a proper leg stretch of the engines. Not really bothered about the coronation just in it for the bank holiday....
