  1. If the rangers boat has been out recently from Irstead boat shed the BA should know about it, or do the winter patrols not look for this sort of thing?
  2. Not sure they have anything on the display stall at this time of year but recall seeing some items last summer.
  3. My first choice would be Boulter Marine, doubt you would go far wrong with Sonny Boulter and his team.
  4. Bearing in mind how much berth holders are paying to moor they need to put pressure on the site owners to up the security.
  5. It will be interesting to see how all this develops but, as a guide, a number of motoring offences that have to be dealt with by the police, are likely to be transferred to local authorities (or others) to deal with. Many without the option of going to a court to argue your case. Transferring powers to the BA through its rangers seems a logical extension of how power is being devolved.

Coltishall then Horstead then to the Broadland Northway (NDR) might be a shorter route depending on where you are going.
  7. Never found the view from a bath tub a problem, hired several and now own one. In terms of comfort, space and getting on and off they cannot be beaten. Add to that being able to go anywhere with the exception of PH, you have a good all round boat. No problems at Ludham Bridge so the best part of the Northern rivers is open to you, highly recommended.
  8. The last 7 days means, the last 7 days!
  9. Does that include the 981 that have died in the last 7 days within 28 days of a positive test? Seems like they were probably seriously ill.
  10. I find it hard to believe that this thread has been allowed to continue, it certainly reveals one or two things.
  11. We actually have a government?
  12. Have you tried Norfolk Broads Yachting Company? Moorings at Womack Dyke Horsefen Road Ludham

And a queue all the way back through Hoveton at the moment, and getting longer by the minute. Probably 30 minutes plus to get through.
  14. The western link from the A47 to the Broadland Northway (BN) should have been built to complete the route when the BN was constructed. It was pointless only building part of a ring road. The benefits for the whole county of Norfolk, the city, the population in general, the environment and probably the wildlife, can only be achieved with completion of the final part of the road.
  15. Water levels at Wayford Bridge very high at the moment.
  16. Hello all, looking for up date thinking about how to get best results from a dehumidifier. I have a dessicant unit that I operate on a timer, how long do members run their dehumidifiers for? Is it best to run for 3 or more hours once a day, or decide how many hours over several sessions. What time of day is best to have the unit running. I assume it is best to close all windows and vents. Any current thinking would be appreciated. Thank you.
  17. Judging by the hire yards standards, one coat lasts many years! First boat I bought the surveyor said do not bother. If you must take the boat out of the water in the winter, remember that if you have bubbles, freezing weather might burst them making the situation worse.
  18. Nearly 40,000 new cases today in UK, perhaps thats not rampaging? As far as I can make out we are still one of the worst European countries. It is a real shame that we are leaving it nearer to Christmas before doing anything positive to reduce the numbers!
  19. As I understand it, China is doing more than most countries with regard to reducing emissions even though as CC says their polution is very high, however look at the size of the country and the population. We in the developed West of course have more than a 100 year start on China (or india etc) on wrecking the World, and now the lesser developed countries may well say it is our turn now to catch up. As for keeping to agreements, we, and most developed nations, have a very poor record in that respect. We will all have to wait and see who achieves targets and who does not, I know where my money is.
  20. I take your point however, when the tide comes in, anything floating in the water comes with it. I have seen seaweed floating up the Yare and Bure on an incoming tide so sand in suspension may be coming in also. Hope I am wrong, but no doubt time will tell.
  21. I wonder how much sand is eventually going to enter the Yare and then the Bure eventually causing problems on the Broads?
  22. I cannot imagine why anyone in the UK would buy one of these!
  23. I wonder what effect seasonal staffing issues has had. Maybe down sizing the fleet has been the balance they have had to make with the loss of so many casual employees across so many industries this year.
  24. We could also take the view that the helm knows what he / she is doing with the boat. More than can be said about many other Broads users, private or hire.
  25. If I had been on the BA Lads Week recently, I know where I would be wanting to change the future booking to!
