  5. The article in the EDP mentions the site and the daffodils on the the edge of the created broad, they are the most unlikely daffodills I have ever seen, more like irises to me. Regards Alan
  6. I find a pint glass will usually fit over most spiders, but sometimes it is a close call we found one in the utility room sink a few weeks ago, I ended up having to use a vase type pint pot with the larger rim to go over that one, normally I just catch them in my hand, but I was a bit wary of that one. Regards Alan

  8. Hello Neil, Welcome to the forum. Regards Alan
  9. In the past I have seen earwigs gliding down onto the canopy from nearby trees when its windy, they then try and hide in the zipped sections. Regards Alan
  10. We stopped using river water to flush the toilets about 4 or 5 years ago, it helped with the staining of the porcelain and the earthy smell of the river water. We just use the shower tap to fill the bowl. Regards Alan
  11. Hello Neil, It sounds as if the Lightning Syndicate is managed in a similar manner as Ranworth Breeze. Lightning looked in a fair condition when we popped in the see you at Oulton Broad Yacht Station. Regards Alan
  12. We have our AGM in November and again on Saturday so it is easier for our fellow owners to attend, but we have it in Norfolk so the owner aboard Ranworth Breeze at the time can attend. Regards Alan
  13. Hello Neil, Yes I miss Tan a lot, 38 years of marriage and we went out with each other for 7 years before we married, never more than 3 days or so apart in that time either for work or illness in the family. As in all life it is often the little nudge, such as the Facebook message this morning that makes you shed a tear before getting on with the day. Regards Alan
  14. I am doing OK, still working for my sins and my two boys (37 & 34 if you can call them boys) keep me in check. Sadly I did not have any time to post a log of our time aboard the boat in September, Andy was new to the Broads and we showed two couples around the boat the day after we arrived and Tuesday. After the last couple left on Tuesday we went directly to Oulton Broad on Tuesday night ready for our meet up with friends and fellow forum members. We did not return to Brundall until the weekend. I will try and take pictures and do some write-ups next season. Regards Alan
  15. I was reminded by Facebook of a memories picture. Please see the picture of Tan & I sat on the upper helm of Ranworth Breeze with the canopy down. A happy time aboard the boat and being together. Regards Alan
  16. Hi Griff, Everyone goes to Great Yarmouth once Regards Alan
  17. Hi Vaughan, Yes drills of that era and well into the early 70's were heavy duty and had a tendency to natch on the work you were doing, sore or broken wrists were risk. Regards Alan
  18. Another option with thawed chicken breasts is to cut a pocket into the underside of the breast. You fill the pocket with stuffing, leave some of the dry stuffing mix which an be used with dried breadcrumbs to use as a coating for the chicken breasts. I usually fry these off in a little butter before putting into a hot oven (175 to 200) to finish off cooking. The cooked breasts can be cut into 3 or 4 strips to be used as part of a buffet. Regards Alan
  19. I tend to boil the chicken breasts from frozen in my lidded stir-fry pan, I usually cook for around 10 minutes turning once before cutting the chicken into strips to make sure it is fully cooked. Once coated with the oxo the strips can be used as part of a salad or served with new potatoes, mini corns & peas. Regards Alan
  20. Hi Monica, I do not eat chicken but for Tan, I used to cook chicken breasts in water and cut them into strips, dried off I would put the strips into a frying pan with a little fry-light and sprinkle chicken Oxo cubs over the strips to give them a coating. Regards Alan
  21. Hello Paul welcome to the forum. I am sorry that I can not help re the boat you are after. Our forum members have a wealth of knowledge so someone may be along soon with some information. Regards Alan
