Hi Guy's
I hope all goes well with the DIY , do Tim proud and go steady with the beers or G & T's if you are making the full weekend of it.
If anyone gets time a few pictures would be appreciated.

Hi Colin on your travels on the Broads did you ever see that well appointed day boat from Brundall, it used to be moored on a raft in front of one of the bungalows on the riverfront, I have not see it for a couple of years, I used to give the owner a wave as we went past. I am sorry but I never knew his name, a nice old guy we once met at Horning. The inside of the boat was plush red velvet and reminded me of a Gondolier.

Hi Q,
The joys of gardening & plumbing know no bounds when it comes to problems.
A friend of mine ordered 6 tons of horse manure for his garden years ago when we were all younger, it was delivered and stank the road out, sadly after filling the first couple of barrows his back went, leaving me and our combined children to move it all off of the road.
Are your plastic pipe fittings not BSP?

Alan
Hi Steve,
It looks as if the current is a lot better than we had on your training day when we moored up at the Ferry House Inn at Surlingham, that day we had to use a center rope to try and keep us straight on the moorings.
I am looking forward to more pictures of your adventures and your presence at the forum meet.

Alan
Hello Marshman,
Everyone is allowed to have their own opinion, personally mine is that at Acle it is a none starter, the Broads Authority would be better to develop their information centre at Wroxham, or build a new centre at say Beccles, Norwich or even Yarmouth, if its it their intent to have some form of education centre.

Plus another one for the danish oil, I have mixed some water based with the danish oil to retain some of the original colour.
It does need to be done each year and I agree with the winter storage.

Hello Maureen, I am not sure when it was sold but I think it ceased operation in 2010 or maybe earlier, please see the link to the following report on Broads Authority cuts:-

I have been self employed now for over 38 years, a unpaid tax collector what with VAT and employee enforcement orders when we had employees.
I had an apprenticeship and did the years of one day a week at college with an additional night, did we learn much, not a lot but it gave you the relevant certificates. The company I worked at was very small so you had to be prepared to do all sorts of jobs including welding, metal work and spraying as well as the electrical work.
At 25 I left the industry to go into another field, because my boss would not pay the approved rate and of course with the company not being part of the JIB it in effect made me unemployable in the industry.

Hi Simon,
Fish & chips hardly comes under the heading of fast food, when ever think of fast food I think of a dodgy burger or MacDonald's version of a so called breakfast.
The Chippy at Loddon is well worth a try, the same can be said for the one at Blofield (near to the school).

That sounds good, but do you think that I can't play a note and my singing has to be limited to the bathroom might be a limitation to the band
