  1. With some boats it is difficult or almost impossible to stern moor, I am talking about some of the smaller boats with a canopy or they have a built in outboard, some of the yacht stations allow side on moorings at a premium sadly at the Ranworth staithe the only way to get a side on mooring is at the side right at the end, in effect you are both side and stern moored. Regards Alan

  8. Hello Stuart, In the mid to late 70's I worked on NSM, Seeburg and Rock Ola jukeboxes, the NSM jukeboxes I have worked on are the Console models (both 120 & 160), Hit 130, Prestige, Century 21, Festival and the model after yours the Prestige ES-160. With regards to jukeboxes general I suggest that you check out the Stanmann Website in Germany, they are very nice people and their site has an archive section showing all makes of jukeboxes, a classified and sales area. www.jukebox-worlde.de In 1980 I started working on Rowe Ami jukeboxes exclusively. I am known as the ami-man. Regards Alan
  9. Hi Monica, We put all of our clothes, Tan's & my boat kits in Morrison's bags for life, so we can just fold them up once on the boat. I can get 4 on the back seat and 4 in the boot. If we close the boat at the end of our season then we bring all the curtains and bedding home in vac bags to save on space. When are are you planing your hire? Regards Alan

  19. On Ranworth Breeze I personally will use a hook up when ever possible, we do not have an inverter, we do not have a microwave. But I like to keep the 2 x domestic & one engine start battery topped up. We use an electric kettle & toaster the rest is 12 volt for the fridge, lights, pumps etc. One of the issues can be that not everyone cruises enough to fully charge their batteries, on the canals they advise a minimum of 5 hours cruising per day. Regards Alan
  20. Dear All Urgent Boating News On Tuesday 17 April 3 large barges will be escorted from Wroxham Broad to Faircraft Loynes in Wroxham from 09:00 hrs until mid-afternoon. A Ranger Launch will be directing river traffic for safety. Please exercise care and patience in that area. On Wednesday 18 April divers will be inspecting Potter Heigham old bridge between 08:00 - 14:00 hrs. This will require the bridge to be closed to river traffic for a maximum of 1 hour between these times for safety. Please exercise care and follow instructions in that area.
