  1. It is not unknown for buyers to leave surveys to the last minute and then be a pain in the butt chasing every five minutes for the report. What many miss is the fact that they have already paid for the valuation report, these can be upgraded to a Home buyers report and they save the initial valuation fee. My son is working Saturday's to keep up with demand. Stamp duty allowances drop from £500k to £250k at the end of the month and then to £125k in September. Demand is still high. I have a sale that has been ongoing since August 2019. An error by solicitors on a lease extension in 2012 came to light during the sale. The original solicitors are still as incompetent and have failed to action any remedy. They are now facing a claim approaching £20k. They have finally appointed a consultant to sort it out but I have doubts it will be completed any time soon. Dealing with incompetent solicitors can be very frustrating. A good firm is worth their weight in gold.
  2. Get the NHS ones if they are offered. I stopped wearing my private one four years ago as I found it overloaded my brain after I started having migraines. Strange thing is after having 90 in 9 months my hearing improved and I no longer really need the aid. A friend has NHS aids and they are excellent.
  3. Definitely not that high at the moment.
  4. "Old proper Broads boats didn't have wifi. EE is almost nonexistent around the Brundall area, O2 is average.
  5. Many people enjoy the extras that go with shore power, each to their own.
  6. We need the mods to lock the thread until monday mornings.
  7. I find it best not to post until monday.
  8. Griff, It is a race worth watching, even knowing the results.
  9. I use UK Aerial Alignment app from playstore.
  10. I replaced my domestic battery bank after 8 years, they were still working well but it was a convenient time to do them. They were about £90 each last year. The batteries are connected to a smart charging system and usually on shore power.
  11. So easy to do, hope you get sorted soon.
  12. I have used Snugz tops a few times, like most businesses in Norfolk they have a different timescale to what I am used to but the product is first class. They have just done a new in marina cover for the little Broom from my template. When I collected it he said the job isn't finished until you are happy, bring it back if it needs altering. Can't get much better than that. I have gone for vinyl on the sides and back of Whitey as I find it easy to clean and roll up but it probably isn't ideal for a full canopy.
  13. I have been practicing new skills All the canopy makers are stacked out so as I had the material I thought I would have a go. The slight draw back is I don't have a sewing machine or any sewing skills. I had a play with various heat activated glues and vinyl welding. Richard at Snugz tops has said he will put it through his sewing machine if it fails. The side screens on the side need to be extended to join the rear, that will involve zips and windows and will be left to Richard later in the year.
  14. Wave or shout next time What boat are you on these day ?
  15. Anywhere in walking distance from your home mooring ?
  16. Without the governments Job retention scheme very few pubs and other businesses would be in a position to open and huge numbers of people would be unemployed. The flexibility of the scheme enabled some to fill temporary jobs in social care, agriculture and deliveries. All of my staff would rather have worked than be on furlough.
  17. Get the needle and cotton out and sew a nylon cord on, my only attempt at needlework. 😁
  18. It explains why I can't upload photos from my huewawi phone unless I send them to another phone by whatsapp and have them returned. Very annoying.
  19. No one is flying out for holidays at the moment as they are banned until tomorrow. It could be a group of workers returning home. Flying out isn't a problem, it is people flying back that is the risk.
  20. Just had a call to cancel my second jab on the 4th June at the hospital site as they are closing at the end of the month. They rebooked it for the 24th of May. That means we can come up to the boat a bit earlier, result.
  21. I am having the same with music boxes, I enjoy doing them but will run out of recipients.
