They will now have to up their game given that a smart new restaurant is to open the other side of the bridge! Cannot really understand why they have not done this before!

Saw the site on Tuesday and seems to be coming on nicely!

I see now they have re-branded to be known simply as 'The Wroxham' - their menu looks inviting, their rooms already have seen a make over from the past and while not a great deal can be done look more fresh and modern. I hope things can only improve and will have to make a point of stopping by later in the year.

Use the Hotel Wroxham when our syndicate has their AGM and the restaurant when mooring in Hoverton. Slowly but surely I have seen an improvement from the rather "Crossroads" establishment that existed before the totally dedicated and enthusiastic current owner took over. Certainly now deserves more than the official two star rating.

  • 2 weeks later...

I moored 'B.A' outside the 'Wroxham' on Sunday lunchtime for a few hours (No way could we get under Wroxham Bridge) no one on site that we could see, which was handy as it meant no mooring charge whilst we were there.  There is still plenty to do with much evidence of building materials inside the area which was the bar

I don't think much of the "after" pic, the "before" pic shows the balcony and single door to access it,  the after pic shows no access and the balcony is no more.

I guess you are showing a non balcony room to show the decor, lol.

I hope they have quietened down the extractor fans, quite noisy from the balcony rooms as I recall.

If you had tried it backwards, the "squat" effect would have dropped the cabin top down a bit, and you would get through!    :coat:
