The boat " Lady Linda" appears to be taking on some water and they are trying to inform the owner. Dosent say the location which might help a bit. I seem to remember seeing this boat but can't remember where.? 1 Quote

NorfolkNog Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 I think that could be the one Barry Rings a bell as Mrs N's name is Linda Is it one of those Classic jobbing? Half timber, half grp???? Quote
Labrador Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 There is no link. As I don't do faceache I don't know where to look. Quote
NorfolkNog Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 No, me neither Lab! Looking at Craigs site there are several Lady Lindas Perhaps a reg number and precise location would help Quote
Cockatoo Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 There isn't a picture on Facebook, the post just links to a screenshot: 1 Quote
NorfolkNog Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Hmmm. Doesn't tell us much sadly We cruised through Potter last Friday and didn't notice anything untoward Quote
Islander Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Hi NN, it's not the Classic of Thorpe Lady Linda as that one is mine and moored next to me right now. Is there a pic of the boat in question. Colin p.s. This is the Classic 35ds called Lady Linda 2 Quote
NorfolkNog Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Thanks Colin Just a shame they didn't post a picture! Quote
Islander Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 Hopefully someone in the area will have a closer look. A report to the BA would be an option. Personally I'd rather someone entered my boat than let it sink. Colin 1 Quote
Gretzky Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Its a Bayliner 2455 moored outside the first bungalow on the western bank as head up stream. The swim step is touching the water and she is listing to port a little. Spotted it as I was leaving Potter on Saturday, unfortunatly didnt get the reg number but accoring to Craigs database its 389S. Quote
Wildfuzz Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Passed to BA for a welfare check. S. 2 3 Quote

MBA Marine Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 Hopefully nothing serious and worth checking out. But also worth a reminder that there are many boats sitting at odd angles this time of year, full of fuel and empty of water and whatever the owner has removed for winter can leave boats looking a bit lopsided, also keel v's no keel, no keel planing hulls out of trim can look very odd. 1 Quote
Cockatoo Posted December 18, 2017 Posted December 18, 2017 I would say that any report of a problem like this could really be helped with a photo. These days when even the cheapest mobile has a very good camera it would be so easy to take a quick snap so the owner, who could be quite a way away, could see exactly what the problem was. 1 Quote

This begs the question, why would anyone hesitate to? I realise that people might have their reasons, I just wonder what those reasons are? Quote
