Friday 13th April - Quiz cancelled.

I won last week's quiz and was due to present this week's offering. However I will not now be available on Friday for reasons beyond my control.  I will, however, run a quiz on Friday 20th, commencing at around 8.30pm.

Of course, if anyone would like to step into the breach and set a quiz on Friday, please feel free.

1) Detectives in tv, film and fiction

2)  Advertising slogans

3) Food and drink

Half-time break for fluid intake/output

4) My Stars!

5) Cars

6) Just mayhem.

Hi Delilah, you can log in at any time.  If you haven't been in before it might be a good idea to go in before 8.30 just to make sure you can get in and know what to do when quiz time comes.

Hi folks,

Didn't stand a chance of taking part last night, as I couldn't log in as instructed, user name and no password, and I am wondering whether this is because I'm trying to do this on an android tablet and not a pc or laptop? Have mentioned this to Lord Grendel already as I'm stumped and would love to take part in the quiz.

Can this be sorted, we wonder?

The android tablet may be the issue.

I know the software can be accessed from an iphone and presumably an ipad, but i do not have an android device to test,

As a matter of interest.

What happens when you try to log in.

Is there an error message displayed or does the thing just do nothing?

Do you get the log in page OK?

If you do then try this.

Do not enter any thing at all and just click the login button.

If this gets you into the chat then we know it is something to do with the login.

If it still does not work then this would indicate an incompatibility with android.

The Chatroom software and the server it is hosted on are not connected with the forum software so I can assure you it is not connected with the recent forum update.

In the meantime I am looking at ways to get the chat to work with android.

Are there any other members with android tablets?

If there are could someone try logging into the chatroom we use for the quiz and see if it works for them.

Delilah reported logging in, then the chatroom page would come up, but dissappear back to a blank logon page after a second or so.

The problem is that Mrs N can log in for a second and then it's kicks her out immediately 

Very odd, we've got the tablet on charge at the mo, possibly try the settings later, wonder if it could be a privacy issue?
