ranworthbreeze
If you make it difficult, expensive or impose too many rules and regulations for people to get rid of their rubbish some will just fly tip . The cost for local authorities to then clear up beggars belief, assuming they have not charged the land owners for this privilege. Hockham Admiral
Only some, Alan? Out in rural West Norfolk we've seen quite a reduction in fly tipping in the last few years.......... I shall have to programme the NCC clearup department into my mobile anytime soon.

Haven't been stopped yet, technically our high top Renault Traffic is a van - we use it as a Recreational Vehicle complete with pull out awning on the side (oh and it is Maroon!). I would argue the toss if a 'Jobs Worth' appeared at our local recycling area. It does seem wierd though to be asked to pay to recycle, in this day and age, especially with all the who-har recently about plastic in the sea. ZimbiIV
Interesting. If they charge me for taking rubbish to their property. Can I charge for them for taking rubbish from mine? paul PS if councils want to make vast amounts of money why not put parking meters outside schools!
marshman
Its to help pay for the increase in expenses they awarded themselves some months ago against all advice!!!

Fortunately none here at the recycling areas. Good job, I am paranoid about height barriers ......

rightsaidfred
Just a thought is waste not classified between Household and commercial and isn't domestic waste paid for in your council tax . Fred

JennyMorgan
I have had contractors offer me two prices, one being with me disposing of subsequent waste and a higher price for the contractor doing the disposing. I suspect that the likes of NCC are well aware of this and consider it in their policy making. Fly tipping will only increase.
