PaulMargaret
We are staying on the stargem 2 in 2 weeks apart from clothes, towels, torch, first aid kit, what else do we need teatowels pots and pans etc Any tips would be great thanks
JennyMorgan
Tin opener, bed socks and wooly hats. The boats are well equipped but tin openers are often worn out come the late season. With cold nights warm feet and warm heads are good.
Gracie
Wine, a non stick frying pan, the boat one's are pretty naff and wine. Tea towels are supplied but not bath towels. Everything else in the way of cooking utensils, plates etc are supplied and don't forget the wine Have a great time
ranworthbreeze
Take a large fleece to cover the bed, any condensation will form on the fleece which can be dried off during the day.
NorfolkNog
Agree wholeheartedly about the can opener. Never found a working one yet. Wine is fine but don't forget the pubs (if they havn't been closed by then)
NorfolkNog
I don't think you'll be cold by any means but an extra cover is worth considering as the duvets tend to be summer weight.
Ray
Corkscrew, binoculars if you have some.

Sometimes all four in one day.Yes agree with NN (Howard).Dont forget pubs, many of which are very good, hopefully they remain open.

grendel
well you wouldnt want to be skinny dipping in the crystal clear waters at geldeston.
vanessan
I always used to take a sharp knife when we hired, the boat ones were so blunt they were next to useless! A good chammy leather or similar will be useful in October for condensation on inside windows. (I saw someone this morning using copious amounts of kitchen roll, I guess you would probably need at least 6 rolls for a week’s trip this time of year!) Wine - has anybody mentioned that yet? 🍷😄
CambridgeCabby
Don’t forget a lighter or matches for the gas hob (many of the self lighters don’t work). Nice large wine glasses are a bonus , camera to take and post pics on here , nitrate free washing up liquid (Ecouver) If you are taking a dog then a dog jacket is a must mid your boat has shore power then a small ceramic fan heater helps to clear the condensation in the mornings , do not use on inverter though
NorfolkNog
Good tip about cleaning windows. A drop of washing up liquid or shaving foam also work well. (on the inside)
Sam
I’ve just bought a Karcher window vac. It’s brilliant and very easy to use
