NorfolkNog
Good idea Clive. I can’t think of too many laundrette facilities near the rivers. There used to be one at Horning Marina which I think has gone now and there used to be a washing machine and tumbler at Oulton Broad Yacht Station, again not sure if they are still there. I'm sure that it will be a very popular facility.
ranworthbreeze
Hello Harward,Yes they still have the facilities at the Oulton Broad Yacht Station and also in the toilets at the Beccles Yacht Station is a similar arrangement. I am sure that the Yacht stations at Norwich and Yarmouth will also have facilities. It is a while since we have moored at the Waverley River Centre but I think they also had at least tumble dryers. When we used to moor at the Ferry Marina we used the old laundrette, toilet & shower. The equipement in the laundrette was very old and tended to be broken at times.RegardsAlan
BuffaloBill
Hi Clive. Does this go for privateers too? With temporary mooring in your marina?
trambo
Well Clive it doesn't exactly excite me enough to get in a lather over it but I might take it for a spin if I tumble into Stalham.
C.Ricko
I will let the negative comments wash over me but the facility is open to all...
Julz
Hi Clive, any Idea what coins your machines take please, or do we buy a token from the office?Nothing worse than having to scratch around for the right change when trying to use such facilities, we like to come well prepared. We are due to spend most of August in Norfolk, and the use of a good laundry will cut out the need to bring so many clothes with us.Thanks,Julz

As hirers we have never used it Griff

TINA
Hi there do you know how much the machines are now please and do they do kingsize duvets?
kpnut
2 hours ago, TINA said: Hi there do you know how much the machines are now please and do they do kingsize duvets? Welcome to the forum Tina. I’m pretty sure it £5, in coins and although I haven’t done so, reckon you’d fit one KS duvet in. If I remember right, the dryer is £3 for about 20 minutes (could be £1?) but then you can feed it with 20p coins to extend the time. No dog blankets etc. Reception will tell you for sure if you give the yard a ring. And tell you the opening times as it sometimes closes quite early. You don’t want to end up with your stuff being locked in like I did once!
marshman
I have a feeling there is a launderette still, opposite the Broads Tours/NBD yard in Wroxham although I have never used it. Certainly used to be one there, but unsure if it still exists even!!!
marshman
Yep still there - says they have duvet size machines and its £9. Its also an attended one I believe - if that makes any difference!

Would advise giving Monday`s a miss as it is always busy and Lesley will exchange notes for coins.
