Hi, everyone,  been coming to the broads for the last 30 yes, and will be back again in January for 10 days pike fishing. Will be staying near Irstead,  just me and my little boat. If anyone has been fishing in this area recently , I, d love to know how it s doing.   les.

Hi Les, for you to find out how good or bad the fishing is. I'm afraid that on the Broads generally the pike fishing is a shadow of its former self, too many numpties trying their hand at piking now. There are still a few biggies but wisely most folk have learned to keep details under their hats, however there are load of jacks to be had, or at least there are wherever I seem to go! Anyway, have a good holiday, you might be lucky!

Hickling Broad is due for imminent dredging and the pike fishing there has been poor this year, best stay near Irstead methinks.......
