  1. Monica! Most younger peeps wouldn't know what he had in his hands in the first scene! My "shack" actually looked like that back in '62...... Thanks for the video, I remember it from it's original showing.
  2. Welcome aboard the good ship NBN, David. Basically, no. You need to look back at couple of months to see pages of posts on bridge heights and how to work them out.
  3. When do you pick the boat up? If it's this weekend then the tides next week just aren't favourable for going through Gt Yarmouth to get South, or return.
  4. A warm Welcome Aboard the NBN, Steve. Yes it is true and if you're not moored on a floating pontoon you'll need to use "springs". That's the way you use the mooring ropes and the boat yard will show you how to do it. Have a great time and have you planned an itinerary yet?
  5. Only a Hardy 35, Grace. I wouldn't want anything else..... In reality Mary-Jane is funding me with new Amateur Radio gear, to keep me quiet during the long Winter Nights!
  6. I did mean to mention at the time yesterday but those two guys in that "Boatmobile"... I certainly would wear an LSJ with that freeboard... a passing swan's wake might overwhelm it!
  7. A lovely blog, David, and the piccies to go with it!
  8. Now that's what I call a stick that Simba had! And however do you manage to eat all that food in a day without piling on the weight, Ray? Another lovely tale, your descriptive powers are really most impressive!
  9. Gosh, Alan, did you look at those claws? Thar man has got, youknowwhats!
  10. Iain, you're being done over. I get: Broadband Unlimited BroadbandPhone Unlimited Anytime CallsBT Sport BT Sport Pack on SkyAll for.................. "Your latest bill came to:£25.70Bill date: 13 September 15" I do pay my line rental annually but even with that I'd be on £44.70 or thereabouts.
  11. Lovely blog, Jonathan, and oh, the pics! I particularly like how you mounted the NBN burgee; it really looked good!
  12. BA use Gorleston, Silverline use GHYS. Hence the 1hr differences.
  13. Wonderful pics, Malcolm and a most enjoyable blog!
  14. Not at all, Grace. (In reply to your third para). In fact, "Hear! Hear!"
  15. Can't agree more with all the comments, Dave, and we're looking forward to the rest of the blog!
  16. A lovely blog, Malcolm, and I too use "Word" for longer bloggs because on a couple of occasions I've hit a wrong key and it's all gone!
  17. A warm welcome aboard from us, Nollock & Nance.
  18. We made it from Dartmouth to the Channel Isles to Brundall in this, Grace! 22ft, single petrol engine,
  19. That's a heck of a long way to sail, Charlie, even for a Yachtmaster! Well Done, Clive, Ocean next?
  20. Interesting to see that they've put that yellow flotation gear all the way around her.
  21. And down the New Cut on Tuesday (sorry for the pic quality but it was into sun through the cabin window). What next???
