We all have memories to think back on but my most memorable was being moored somewhere like Herbert Woods on the first Sunday morning with a number of other hireboats and all of us seemingly cooking our first egg and bacon meal on board with the smell drifting over the boatyard - magic!
Wise words, thank you. I'll bet you changed insurers after that? You just don't know how good they are until you have to make a claim. Fortunately I never had to.
When we started using it, a lot actually, as our mooring was Beccles. Alan was the harbourmaster and lived on the Dutch boat and the bar was run by a family from Liverpool. We had some brilliant nights there!
It was about 6 years ago! Bought a replacement at the chandlers in Oulton Broad the same day.. Sold the boat about 4 years ago unfortunately. Regards Alan
Hi. Cannot really advise on make/type there is so much to choose from. We had a rib and outboard which we hung from davits on our Seamaster 30. My only advice - be careful with the weight. Best of luck
