  1. Paint can also cause lots of problems as you won't get it all off before you regel the area.
  2. Not that one, the one I was thinking of was a converted life boat and I think it was on the upper Thames.

  4. Mine also lives inside but I still put on the winter cover but as it does not get wet it doesn't seem to sweat just keeps the bird crap off.
  5. Wood Anemone was my boat at school, I was crew one year and skipper for a further four. Great yard.
  6. So many hire boats have fenders that are flat, when I hired from Ricos I asked for 3 to be changed and I got the reply they will be fine and don't need replacing this resulted in a section of lower rubbing strake getting pulled off as the fender didn't hold the boat off the key at Reedham.
  7. Off topic, sorry ! My father in law kept his boat at Marchwood in the old military site.

  9. We were moored at Reedham last week when a large central cockpit boat decided to leave. The tide was flowing out the direction he was facing he had two attempts but was worried that he would hit the boat in front. I asked if he needed a hand and he greatfully accepted after a bit of advice executed a purfect departure thanking me for the help stating he never had been shown that manoeuvre.
  10. I hope you tied it on properly or you might get the same response as I did when I assisted one near Oulton Broad. it might be me needing a tow one day .
  11. Just seen on the news a fisherman has gone missing at Cantley. They have found the fishing tackle but no sign of the fisherman. please keep a look out if you are passing this area.

  13. Richardson's have 120 boats going out this afternoon with another 80 on Monday so it's going to be busy on the Ant this afternoon.
  14. Passed her yesterday looking splendid in the sunshine. Just pasted Charlie Dolphin at Potter and exchanged waves.
  15. Yes it was us now moored at Upton, never seen the tide so strong in Yarmouth. Yacht station was rammed.

  18. This pub use to be my uncles local and have been in here many times over the years.
  19. Problem was I'm 26ft and they where 42ft just getting ropes that reach was hard enough.
