  1. lenard skynard and freebird would have been a good one
  2. just make up a bed for her on the back seat for the trip, nice smooth driving and she wont wake until you arrive.
  3. it all depends on usage, if I was regularly driving in heavy traffic I would get an automatic, in fact I was seriously considering it when replacing my car recently, but as it happened a manual came up at the right price (under £1000), and I will put up with the queues on the A2 and M25 dartford crossing. for the rest of the trip cruise control works for me.
  4. Tell me about it, car parking bays should be a standard 2.4m x 4.8m, this is the standard they should be designed to, many supermarkets amend these sizes to as little as 2.1m x 4m to squeeze as many parking bays as possible in, this leaves little room to open doors and leaves many bigger cars entirely filling a space widthwise, and overhang the ends of the spaces, I know your pain as I drive a volvo estate - these used to be a big car, though even a mini nowadays is taller and nearly as wide and as long (and minis used to be a tiny car). at 2.05m x 4.71m my volvo should fit into a standard parking bay, but in supermarkets I usually seem to be hanging 0.3m out of a parking bay.
  5. my apologies for not attending, but after a mere 5 hours sleep the night before, then walking 6 miles to get a socket required to refit my alternator belt on the car, I was in bed by eight, and spark out until 6am this morning.
  6. no tuesday before to tuesday after
  7. well now you can drive, you can do like I have today - walk 6 miles to get the one socket you need to fix the car, same place twice, once for the tool shop that opened at 7am, then again for halfords opening at 9am.
  8. and a whole bank full of wild moorings for your forum friends on the opposite side of the river too.
  9. I have just booked Jayne for that week
  10. I have been regularly checking their website, but next years bookings werent available, until i spotted someone had booked one of the others, and jumped in feet first to be able to get her., still I have 2 weeks of next years holiday booked now, Jayne in May, and the lads week in October.
  11. she is a lovely little boat, its just a shame she became unavailable for me early this year and was upgraded to Janet 3 for this years spring meet, anyway- upgraded to a whole week on board this time.
  12. Grendel Jayne 17th, 18th 19th Persons on board - just me, just booked Jayne from Martham for the week
  13. if you highlight the text you want to quote, you should get a quote this button appear (on a pc that is) if you are using the app, no idea.
  14. My view from the office Sent from the Norfolk Broads Network mobile app
  15. bearing in mind the initial post said that the BNP issue was not really discussed overly at the meeting, I think it would be sad to see this interesting discussion sidetracked down that route, i'd rather see it concentrating on the issues raised.
  16. I think this can be construed as giving permission for the reply to be circulated.
  17. I occasionally find it slow, but I am generally on a very fast network, so most websites can be slow at times, but generally its ok
  18. we thought that too, but we can be pretty persuasive, and now we have a regular crowd attending, mostly from the design department, but it includes both of our department heads who use it as time to de-stress, the good news is it has both reduced the stress levels of the department, and dropped the sickness levels, and bad backs. we managed to get it because our head office had it, and another of our offices in leicester saw that it worked well for us and followed suit.
  19. ask your boss to pay for Yoga lessons, we have yoga provided one lunch time a week, and I have to say my back has been a lot better for it, our company is up to 3 offices now where they provide yoga.
  20. surely the advantage of a fireproof cladding over a fire hazard cladding should be recognised by the planning department as a reaction following the grenfell tower disaster, if I were the applicant that would be the argument I would follow with the appeal.
  21. Eddy, dont worry overly, as there is no limit to attachments, for instance I have over 100 pages of attachments, nearly 500 mb worth - or to put it in perspective nearly 100 times more than you, do you not have a dustbin symbol at the far right end of the line when you look at them? - if you look at your name top right (on a pc) and left click, then choose my attachments you should see a list - that list is where I see a dustbin to delete.
