  1. Griff, Becoming a granddad is no reason to take up dangerous sports. Nana baiting is the most dangerous one of all, any injuries suffered are regarded as self -inflicted! be they physical or wallet damages. What is permitted is the buying of a train/slot car set, this is regarded as a right of passage ( it's an investment is the defensive reply). paul
  2. Congratulations, remember it is granddads job to get them over excited then hand them back to the parents. paul
  3. Damn right we will charge, my friends car is parked in the village car park recognisable by the poppy attached to the aerial, nothing else is visable of it. paul
  4. At our base allot of boats have a drainpipe hanging between fenders and staging (tied to the boat) thus keeping the boat away from said staging. I don't 'cos I am too lazy to untie it from the boat and tie it to the staging when we go out. Ask Ma and Pa. paul
  5. Alan, the one I showed is 2400 watts max so on a 13amp main would only leave 700 enough for telly and a light but not enough for a kettle, so you would have to drink wine while waiting for a meal to cook, such is life's little hardships. What make is the old one new burners/stats maybe still available. paul
  6. Another idea a combination microwave, oven/grill/microwave in one. A little bit of edging to tidy up the hole. Job done. KENWOOD K30CSS14 Combination Microwave - Stainless Steel (currys) paul
  7. Alan, http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3689693.htm comes with a three pin plug attached so goes into a standard ring main. What size aperture is it to fit? paul
  8. Damn the pesky mod beat me. snap Built In Integrated Single Gas or LPG Oven in Black NEW RRP £302
  9. So it's just an oven you want not a full cooker. I'll have to change the search. Can you fabricate a new surround and look at the dometic duplex oven £250 at jones. Is it just oven or oven/grill? paul
  10. Alan, on the well known auction site, spec includes lpg option. Teknix TKGF60BL Built-in 60cm Gas Cooker with 4 Hotplate Burners in Black includes free delivery. paul. ps I'm waiting in for a delivery and bored so have taken up your challenge.
  11. Alan most domestic cookers can be re-jetted for LPG. Have a look at these, http://www.appliancesdirect.co.uk/st/lpg-cookers Problem with re-jetting is getting a gas fitter to do it. Our home range cooker came with the jets supplied but then again it's bigger than the boat! paul
  12. Alan, if it's just bad sap staining try using G10 not G3 ( works better on paint ), we were going to get Jill's car resprayed the paint (red) had faded badly G10 then colour wax looks brand new. paul
  13. Alan Glad it is working out for you (eventually). paul
  14. Not a bit of topic, new Hoseasons catalogue to old computers! I am not admitting any age issues but I do miss my old abacus. paul
  15. I am banned from the washing machine and tumble dryer unless it is to repair them, I got them mixed up and turned the washer on instead of the dryer, strange as I had fitted them into our new kitchen. As for the iron I'm not allowed near it after being caught using it as a replacement laminator ( cost me a new iron that ). paul
  16. I don't know why they object to tethering but if you read the T&C's even on payg it usually mentions it. How they could find out beats me. Personally I prefer mifi so we can both play, me on here Jill on ancestry and like payg you cannot run up a big bill. I never register a credit card for top ups just put another sim in when 1 runs out of time. paul
  17. makes a change, the beak up before the bill. paul
  18. I have still got some 8" discs and floppy discs, should I contact the Antiques Roadshow? paul
  19. Alan, I/we use mifi with varied success. With all the merges going it is hard to say which is best now. I usually buy 2 6 gig/3month sims at the start of the season which lasts. EE only seems to work best in the middle of the river. 3 not too bad except in Brundall where we are based. Vodafone seems to be the best over all coverage. It is handy for checking the forum, weather etc. paul
  20. Regulo, be careful tethering is not usually allowed in contracts and mobile providers can get sniffy if they catch you. paul
  21. WORK????? Mods I thought foul language was not allowed on open forum. After 42 years at the same place, I retired 8 years early rather than go to 66 and 50 years service. Now suffer the (a different ) but same routine during the season 2 weeks home 2 weeks boat. paul
  22. I use paypal BUT never use any link supplied by email from whomsoever but log into the account from my log in. Caller ID is also worth having, no number showing we no answer. As an aside I accidentally deleted our recorded answerphone message and the pre-supplied took over, as soon as the robot answers the call it rings of, with our recorded voice we got a message. If I slip up and answer a spoof call my stock answer is, solly no speekie eenglish. paul
  23. EDP Expensive Daily Publication perhaps? paul
  24. Iain, to hell with the expense, I suggest 1st stop at Skipton, a short hire from Pennine Cruisers, then onto 2 nights of luxury at Knights Hill with a visit to Sandringham then the broads. Fully rejuvenated a non-stop flat out drive home. paul
