  1. Marina, Just tell Ian to get up more often during the night. paul
  2. If you flip the photo left to right it looks like the buildings are where the works are at the end of the New Cut looking up to the old Haddiscoe lifting bridge. Do not seem to get the link to work, but try searching for said bridge. paul
  3. I think it is going to be called BROADSIDE only for hire to those with a wooden leg, parrot and eye patch. paul
  4. Hello Alan, Now I believe you a tad tight with money, you only talk to your parents through the forum! thus saving phone costs. We used to moor next to them at Eastwood's (M&I the clue is in the log in). Really enjoying the thread. For an cooker look at caravan forums (magnum motor homes, rainbow conversions etc). Marina we are going to the dark side (north) the same time may see you. paul
  5. Great if that d--- bridge is now on twitter ( whatever that is) means it will not be blocking the river now!!!!!! paul
  6. We have a V berth, so made to measure mattress cover, sheet, quilt, quilt cover and for the cooler nights a made to measure fleece blanket on top off all. I may add everything made to measure was made by Jill (wife). My contributions. 1. get out of the way while she makes the bed up. 2. put everything not going home for washing in the vacuum bags. 3. buying the electric over blanket and loosing the battle for it!!. 4. Loo roll cheapest. paul ps Does anybody know where I can get a remote control kettle (see 4)
  7. Hi, We have just moved to Cove Marina, very happy, all facilities + 5 minute walk to the station, Yare PH & Brian Wards, you will need to visit them all at sometime. Give David a ring on 01603713663 I think he has a couple of spaces available. Paul
  8. That's bad news. For me spent quite a bit there last week. Still owning a boat nearby there is always something I need or don't need but want. paul

  10. Yes but the star of the show won't be there. My grandson (LIL DEC) will be at school. paul
  11. As an aside on our first every boat hire, I discovered my wife steering away from the birds in the water! She didn't want to run them down and would not believe me that could fly. paul
  12. Thanks LS. £65 does buy a lot of white wine to store in the fridge. paul
  13. I started this, now buying a Waeco CR50, is it worth buying the adapter? We have shore power and a sterling battery charger (2 Domestic). So would the charger be enough to keep the batteries charged? £65 for an A/C adapter seems a lot! paul
  14. Try Wroxham nothing wilder on the broads. paul
  15. Would strongly recommend Silverline Myth, we hired many boats from Colin etc. In fact I tried to con Rob into selling Myth to us. The problem with Myth is everybody seems to re-book immediately. A good win and we will ask for them to build one for us. They are responsible for us buying our own boat after hiring Melody. Try the south/polite side the only problem mooring is Reedham or Loddon. paul
  16. So long as you are willing to wait for late delivery and a damaged parcel they are ok. Personally I do not buy anymore if they are the named courier. paul
