  1. We had our Hoseasons brochure through the door last week and have not hired through them for a couple of years. Regards Alan
  2. To aid the promotion team if you do title your pictures it may help if there is a common font and size used. Regards Alan
  3. I find that most people wave, even yachtsman or they will nod if their hands are full at the time, like Grace implies it would be rude not to wave, mind you when you are hiding below deck it can be difficult to wave Regards Alan
  4. A number of years ago we fitted additional hand rails on Ranworth Breeze to aid one of our former owners, needless to say all owners have benefited from the handrails. Regards Alan

  11. Sadly we were not aboard, one of our lucky owners has been on Ranworth Breeze for two weeks. Most of the owners are a friendly bunch and not many bite Regards Alan
  12. Hi Ian it was a good race, interesting and full of action, just a pity the stewards turned a blind eye to Ferrari. Max Verstappen deserved the podium after leading the race, I guess that his being demoted to forth in the last race will be raised for the foreseeable future especially after Vettle's action yesterday. Regards Alan
  13. Hi Neil, That procedure works OK with some cars to take the lamp out but for the life of you it can be impossible to put the lamp back in. The Rover 75 and the MG version are contenders for the impossible, I got the lamp out on a MG for a friend but I tried all ways to put it back in, looking on the internet the advice was to drop the bumper and remove the headlamp, put in the lamp and then rebuild the car, time taken 3 hours. Regards Alan
  14. Hi Howard, Grace said she and the family would be away for a few days, not on the Broads and reception may be a issue. Regards Alan
  15. Congratulations Charlie & Inge. Our anniversary this year was for 37 years, again late starters. Regards Alan
  16. I always liked the story of the American company that sent the worlds smallest drill to Sheffield, the story goes that the Sheffield company drilled and tapped it, made a nut and bolt and sent it back. Regards Alan
  17. One of the all time greats, Fats Domino was always on the jukeboxes.
  18. We had a similar arrangement, most of our families houses had an outside toilet and a tin bath on the back of the cellar steps door. The bath was filled from kettles on the gas or fire range, the bath was set up in front of fire with a cloths horse behind it with a blanket on for some modesty, and everyone took their turn. Back at home we used to have a small paraffin heater in the bathroom to stop the pipes freezing, as a child I used to get dressed in bed to fend off the cold, there was always ice on the inside of all of the windows, even the bathroom with it's slight heat. Regards Alan
  19. Going by the aerial photograph it is just around the corner from Morrison's their car-park and petrol station can be see middle right. Regards Alan
  20. Here is a link to see some of the Dawncraft DC30:- http://www.broads.org.uk/wiki/index.php5?title=Style_Details&style=DC30 Regards Alan
  21. Old enough to remember waving to the likes of the RAC & AA patrol men and waving to car owners of the same car as yours. Yes we always wave, it can however be difficult for yachtsmen to wave and some of the forward steer boats may not see you waving. Regards Alan

  25. Hello John, Welcome to the NBN forum. Have a look at the various boat sales on Broads, the likes of the NYA will send you a weekly email with all the used boats they have for sale, sadly they have just sold a Bounty 40 (8 berth) with was just within your budget. I agree that you may be better off as others have suggested that you tie down your search to a couple of similar boats and then search nation wide at the various brokers. Regards Alan
