  1. Marine power at Brundall Gardens, they are Suzuki dealers.
  2. Businesses make commercial decisions all the time. We are grateful for Richardsons long support of the forum and have thanked the Board for their support.
  3. We are delighted to welcome our latest sponsor, Norfolk Boat Sales. Their new advert can be seen in the sponsors panel. Thank you Norfolk Boat Sales for your support.
  4. I was due to go to a birthday party lthe weekend before last but decided I wasn't comfortable with it as we were due to look after our daughter in law following a big operation this week. It turns out 6 of ourr circle of friends caught covid that evening. They are all 50 to 60+ age range and vaccinated, some felt worse than others but all suffered enough to be laid up for a week. Had they not been vaccinated they may well have been a lot worse. If the NHS offer me a booster I will roll up my sleeve, it offers protection against serious illness that I will be grateful for.
  5. Great news, Our brilliant tech expert has fixed the Paypal button. Thank you. Payments are now possible for moorings, could you add to the thread when payment is made to enable the Events team to keep track.
  6. I nearly fell over today, the local garage is normally a couple of pence higher than the nearest supermarket. It was showing £1.76 a litre, Morrisons was £1.54 a litre. Guess where I filled up. I think we might see a voluntary 50mph limit on the motorways before long to save fuel. We are heading back to the 70s.
  7. Going to need a few rolls of gaffer tape at the Millennium dome. Blowing at 80mph in Brundall now. VID-20220218-WA0010.mp4
  8. I am onboard now, the marina have chainsaws, telehandler, excavator and appropriate staff on standby on site in the morning. I have put extra ropes on the covers, parked in the middle of the large car park and from midnight I will don the souwester and oil skins and lash myself to the helm.
  9. I am popping up to Brundall tomorow for a couple of days to check the winter cover and new side screens remain intact. It might be bouncy on Friday but that doesn't bother me.
  10. The tech team are on a work around but have full time jobs and family commitments that come first. Payment will be possible well before the meeting. If anyone has booked in on the list that is enough for the time being. Don't worry, the team will chase payment as soon as we can sort it out. There is a forum bank account but it is preferable to pay via the forum when it is up and running. Thanks for your patience.
  11. We are working on it at the moment, Paypal appears to have changed the system and we have to redo it all, it may take a while but we will put a post up when payments can be made. Thanks
  12. It was allowed for a set period, not unusual with a change of use for temporary structures rather than fixed structures.
  13. It still amazes me how well it works no matter the extremes of tide.
  14. Smaller Shetlands have a bit of an issue with water soaked foam in the under floor area, as I found out on my family four. If you catch it soon enough it can be sorted, if not it can be a new floor deck throughout. These newer, smaller boats seem a bit flimsy compared to my old Broom Scorpio and Topliner. They are also quite narrow. The outboard is vulnerable to damage, yes, I know this too and it has taken 3 months to get engine casing parts. Being petrol isn't a problem for what I use it for, going up and down the river on a day out but for extended use it would be a nightmare. I would look for a wider more traditional diesel broads type cruiser. In the spring.
  15. A nice welcome to Norfolk sunset this evening.
  16. It was an enjoyable watch, better than some offerings.
  17. It can't be done, I looked into it, It was going to be my Norfolk branch
  18. Since they changed to mostly electric we rarely hear them. We lived next to the M2 for a year while we renovated an old Manor house elsewhere, after a few weeks we didn't hear the motorway and only became aware of it when it was closed for accidents.
  19. And additional parking spaces. If it has accomadation above that would also fit in with their business.
  20. Sorry, I missed it as I am helping my son move. It never happens when I am sitting around. I feel left out as I didn't get messaged.
